My Thoughts

The only time a concert has ever brought tears to my eyes was when a girl stepped on my foot with heels while I was wearing sandels. On Saturday April 13th, another concert brought tears to my eyes and this time no one stepped on my foot.

Seeing *NSYNC in concert is always an experience but somehow going on April 13th was something more special. A lot went on that night, going with someone who means so much to me and just realizing how long I have followed *NSYNC's growth. Back in 1996, a penpal from Germany sent me anything she could find on them. I remember receiving some early recordings they had done and one of the first songs I ever heard them sing was "We Can Work It Out" by the Beatles. Just hearing them sing a Beatles medley at the concert brought back memories of listening to their early stuff, even before they had released their Germany self-titled album and anyone in the U.S. had really heard of them.

Now that I am older, I no longer fawn over them as celebrities but respect them as artists. This past Saturday was one that I'll never forget and I'm glad I got the opportunity to spend it with one of the best people in the world. Thanks Q for a wonderful night. Thank you *NSYNC, for all the great memories. It's been a great 6 years and I can't wait for more.
