Deathgasm Records
Abominant, 112 Olympia Dr., Bardstown, KY 40004 OR E-mail @: kissthegoat@yahoo.com
Official Site @: http://www.abominant.da.ru
Talk about the complete package, awesome cover art and layout by Jerry Barkside, Abominant
delivers unyielding death metal with overtones of black metal in the vocals and remnants of atmospheric
death lying within. "Dawn of Despair", "Treasures of Darkness", "On Death's Wings", "Pinnacle of Hate",
"The Fallen", "The Dark Mystery", "Beyond Spectral Plains", and "Re-Animation", all reign supreme!
"On Death's Wings" is mid-paced black metal through and through, impressive vocal work by Mike
Barnes. Guitar work rips ass, Buck Wiedeman and Timmie Ball, would shred the meat off a dead
woman's back, mixed with Mike Mays brutal bass playing and blast beats from Craig Netto. "Re-Animation"
includes guest vox from none other than Ash Thomas of Estuary of Calamity. 'Ungodly' is as
described Un-fuckin-godly.

Snail Mail:
Abominator, P.O. Box 7061, Gardenvale, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia 3185
Mate, did you say you were looking for some evil black metal,
Abominator has been hashing out
atrocities since '94. 'Subversives for Lucifer' is their second full-length release. Track 3, is killer,
'Carnivorous Strike of the Knife'-"Praises to Moloch, ghouls of the chosen keep, Demonic land,
the resting place, at Gehenna Ye sleep, Ultimate soil of suffering, repugnant hellhole, Smoke
casting black shadows of burning souls"-think their talking about Cincinnati-haha. Vocals/drums-
Chris Volcano are deep very death metalish, 'Subversives for Lucifer' includes eight trax, totaling
almost fifty minutes.. Leads & rhythm & bass-Andrew Undertaker, are of medium talent, Damon
Bloodstorm-vocals, shared his vocal duties with C. Volcano, this was D. Bloodstorm's last effort with
Abominator. Artwork is once again rip-ass, done by J. Petagno (
Motorhead, Led Zeppelin,
Krisiun). If you like fast black metal with death metal vocals, look no longer.

Death metal with fiendish black metal vocals, this two man ensemble fuckin reign supreme! Mixing
the best of both death and black metal to create an exceptional release. "Skydweller", "Hydrah", &
"Distant" (nice mid-paced drum solo) will rip your head off. This is the European re-release which
holds five extra trax: "War of the Rings", "Offerings of Jade & Blood", "Constellations Embellished
with Chaos"--instrumental, "Aggressive Dynasty", & "Calm Before the Storm"--prelude. I salute
Mr. Vento & Mr. Roddy for their mindblowing release, 'Northern Lights'.

Mighty Music--htttp://www.mightymusic.dk

"Resurgence of Oblivion" is a mcd, including five brutally savage songs: "Transmutation of
Veracity", "Extortion of Benevolence", "Resurgence of Violence", "Paramnesic Dream", &
"Suffer Some More".
Beheaded rips from Malta, forming in '91, & finally landing a deal with
the Mighty Music-which is well fuckin deserved. Beheaded will devour and regurgitate all in it's path.
"Resurgence of Oblivion" is extreme death metal with intense ravishingly fast drums, just the way I like
it. The only disappointment with this mcd is just that-that it's an mcd, it leaves you wanting more & more.
In the vein of,
Vomit Remnants, a faster
Suffocation, & Fleshcrawl.
Beheaded's
third official release "Recounts Of Disembodiment" 2002, out now.

Black Dawn
"Blood For Satan" 2001--
A
Necropolis Records
Contact @: hoath.wrath@netikka.fl
At first
Black Dawn was called
Nocturnal Feast '92, releasing one demo under
that name then renaming themselves, their current name
Black Dawn '93.
Black Dawn
is utterly true evil, the full-length black metal release is no longer than thirty-three minutes long, every
song expounds of the essence of darkness. The members of
Black Dawn are: Cauldron/drums,
Gaunt/guitars, Prophet Hoath Wrath/vox & lyrics, & Anzhaar/bass. Cover image is terrific-blood dripping
from a black metal ghouls mouth.
Black Dawn adds in some movie splices in some of their songs,
best trax are: "Of Blackest Witchcraft", "A Horned Moon Rising", "To Haunt & Feed". Terrifically bloodcurdling
black metal, original, and seethingly fast.

Emerging from the Indiana scene comes this trio of impaling death, Shane/guitars & vox, Daniel/drums,
& Eric/Vox & Bass). 'Deformed', 'Homidical Infection', 'Forever Dying', & 'Necrophile', make up 'The Scarring
Process'. Grinding vox, that blend extremely well with the intense rhythms, Nice movie samples included on
all four songs. Production is raw. Fans of
Skinless, Fleshgrind, & Dying Fetus, should appreciate
Blokhed. With the proper recording equipment I think
Blokhed could easily go far in the underground
scene.

Dave Ingram (formerly of
Benediction) does vox on
Bolt Thrower's Ninth full-length
release, & is an excellent replacement. Slow-mid paced, grinding grooves-rhythms, Very stimulating
grinding rhythms. guitar riffs are a bit repeatous. "Inside the Wire", "Honour", "7th Offensive", "Valour",
& "Pride" are very good, nine trax in all. Of course,
Bolt Thrower's legendary theme of war prevails
throughout. Get high, lay back, & enjoy,

Unmatched Brutality--http:///www.unmatchedbrutality.com
Spewing their sickness from the depths of America's heartland, Knoxville, TN-is
Brodequin. Extreme
death/grind metal, dealing subjects such as, the madness behind the mass killings of people in the name
of Christianity. The creation of
Brodequin was during August '98, releasing a self-titled demo, and
henceforth moving on to their classic underground debut 'Instruments of Torture'-Nov.' 99, and now their second
full length release 'Festival of Death'. Eleven trax included on this massively deadly full length. Some of my
favorite trax include: 'Judas Cradle', 'Torches of Nero', 'Blood of the Martyr', & 'Flow of Maggots'. Vocals by Jamie
Bailey are very guttural, fits the deadly trio perfectly.

Hailing from Canada, George Velaetis, is truly a talent, playing all the instruments himself on his second
self-released full length, "Satanchrist". "Satanchrist" is mid-fast paced black metal with death metal vocals.
Mr. Velaetis's guitar work on his Mockingbird-quantily named-'The Demonaxe' for rhythms & his Warlock-'The
Serpent' for leads, are impressive to say the least.
Darkness Eternal music is evil, dark, and satanic. Nine tales
of blackness included on "Satanchrist", some titles include: "Cursed to An Eternal Damnation", "Dark Salvation",
"Cross of Lies", & "Descending in the Red Sea". If you like black metal, you will enjoy this piece of work, reminscent
of
Dark Throne. The art work on this release is done by Jonzig (http://www.jonzig.com)-very nice.

What could better compile a savage attack of death metal, than four angst filled teenagers from Poland, the fatherland
of the great
Vader. 'Nihility' is a perfect follow-up to their debut full length 'Winds of Creation'. Drumming is perilous.
Best trax of
Decapitated's second full-length, totaling eight, are: 'Nihility (Anti-Human Manifesto)', 'Names', 'Spheres
of Madness' & 'Symmetry of Zero'. If you like your death metal powerful, original, and skillfully done check out

Blackened Records
E-mail @: devilyn@poczta.fm OR bony666@wp.pl
Official Site @: http://www.devilyn.metal.pl
Polish marauders
Devilyn have achieved a massive hit with their third full length release; 'Anger' 96 & 'Reborn in Pain' 98.
Eleven trax of extreme lunacy, drum work (Kuba), massively overtakes you with it's power and voracity.
Devilyn was founded
in 1993 by Novy (bass.voc) and Lukas (guitar).
Devilyn has maintained a stable line-up until '98, in May '98 Piotr (guitarist)
was replaced by Broova. Guitars play one against each other streaming perfectly together, vox are deadly, growls are orgasmic.
Death metal at it's finest, I recommend
Devilyn to every death-metaler out there. All the songs on 'Artefact' rule-I especially
like; 'Soul Snatcher', 'Fire-Step Follow Me', & 'Contempt'. Side tid-bit-Novy ( bass & vox) is also an active member of
Behemoth &
Dies Irae-(the latter of which is a side project of
Vader started by Mauser & Docent).

A-
Olympic/Century Media--http://www.olympicrecordings.com
Diabolic has released two full length's at the practically the same time, "Subterraneal Magnitude" & "Vengeance
Ascending", very unusual. "Vengeance Ascending" is the latter of the releases. These Floridians pack ten blood drenched
demonic tunes onto their third full-length. Overtones, of
Morbid Angel &
Monstrosity prevail. Production by Juan 'Punchy'
Gonzalez is supreme. Aantar “Blastmaster” Coates, drumming slaughters! The dual guitar work of Brian Malone & Jerry
Mortellaro rip-ass. Every song on "Vengeance Ascending" is heavy & explodes with true musicianship. Chek 'um out live with
Macabre/Enslaved in a town near you, you won't regret it, I saw them on their "Supreme Evil" tour and
Diabolic was extradionary.

Dimension Zero
"Silent Night Fever" 2002--
B-
Century Media Records--http://www.centurymedia.com
Dimension Zero Site--http://www.dimensionzero.org
Originally forming this project band as
Agent Orange in '96- founding members, Jesper
Strombald & Glen Ljungstrom (both guitarists of
In Flames fame), after finding out
Agent
Orange was already another bands name--
Dimension Zero was spawned.
Dimension Zero also
includes two other great talents, Jocke Gothberg-vox (
ex-Marduk & Cardinal Sin) and Hans
Nilsson-drums (
Luciferion, Crystal Age, & Diabolique). "Silent Night Fever" was originated in
sixteen days at Phlat Studios in Sweden. Anders Friden (
In Flames) produced and engineered
"Silent Night Fever". Slightly over thirty minutes of Swedish death metal with a progressive edge, due
to the fact the guitar riffing is so intensely maddening, mid-fast paced, vocals are in the realm of Tomas
Lindberg's. "The Murder-Inn", "Your Darkest Hour", "Until You Die", & "Not Even Dead" seem to stand out
most on this release. Prior to this release,
Dimension Zero has released one mini-cd, "Pentrations
From the Lost World" '96-with a slightly different line-up. If your into
In Flames, At the Gates, & The Crown,
you should pick this up.--SkullCrusher/Angela

Osmose Produstions--http://www.osmoseproductions.com
This is the seventh release from the Norwegian masters
Enslaved. Mixing together an Norwegian folk metal, with
dark evil black metal, with tinges of atmospheric black metal thrown in to complete the ultimate concept lp. "The concept
is woven from Northern Mythology, Rune Mysticism, through Surrealism and "Psychedelogy"; Pure Chaos. Through this
album one is invited to witness the first steps towards the Death of the Old World; the same story told on many levels…
The Outer, Inner and Transcendental prelude to Ragnarock; this is the "MONUMENSION".--excerpt from Osmose Recs

Enslaved. Very melancholy black metal, which is a nice change of pace, compared to the blast beats
and worship Satan or die lyrics. Great bass work on "The Cromlech Gate"-track 7. Excellent musicianship throughout all
of 'Monumension'.

In Thy Dreams
"Highest Beauty"
Century Media 2001-http://www.centurymedia.com
A-
"Highest Beauty" is
In Thy Dreams' follow up to "The Gate of Pleasure". Melodic Swedish death metal. Thomas Lindfors
vocals are death metal, his screams are touched with black metal influences, very extreme. Guitars are very melodic,
technical, and expressive, guitarists: Hakan Stuvemark & Jari Kuusisto. Typical to most Swedish bands, production is
perfectly balanced. Ten songs provided on this pungent release, "Surrealistic Insanity", "Razor-sharp", "Weeping
Twilight", are some of my favs off "Highest Beauty". Cover-art may be somewhat misleading, very goth like artwork-
it's unique, once again proving the old adage, 'never judge a book by it's cover'. (cover painting by: Chad Michael
Ward)
In Thy Dreams is most definitely a band on the rise.

Spinecast proceedes to rip-grind-&-tear their way out of Huntsville, Alabama with "Go Forth & Mutilate".
"Go Forth & Mutilate" full-length 2002. Ten trax are served up, totaling fifty-one minutes of music to slaughter
your soul. Two of the ten trax are unreleased material from their 2000 demo/promo "Blood Phalanx" & "Diminished"
-(with Cameron Pinkerton on drums). Powerful bass lines by Leslie, decimating mid-fast paced drumming from Lance,
repulsively wonderful vox by Kron. "Craving for Butchery" & "Vomit Divinity" have a
Morbid Angel-ish feel. "Metamorphosis"
is a nice relaxing change, instrumental by Kron-(guitarist/vox). The cover art is awesomely done by Jon Zig,
layout by Chris Pervelis, you just gotta love art work with meat hooks!!! "Go Forth & Mutilate" is guaranteed
to shred you to DEATH!--SkullCrusher/Angela

Throcult (formerly
Throat Culture), is right on, this six-man band
is pillaging their way out of Colorado, shredding on their independent three song release;
"Kill or Be Killed", "Hunted", & "Eclipse of the Blood Moon". Mixing the best of death &
black, if "Hunted" is just a sampling of what
Throcult has to offer, I'm wetting myself
with anticipation of their next release.
Throcult includes the former guitarist of
Serberus, Ivan Aleala. Chris Vigil's vox are demented, deadly, & disturbing. Guitars
that make your ears bleed from pleasure. Keyboards are used hunting and awesomely done.
Throcult one of the most impressive unsigned bands I've heard in a long time.

Pavement Music--http://www.pavementmusic.com
Undercroft comes from Chile's underground. This trio bring us a nice thrash/death mix done in
the 'old style', lots of moshable parts. Guitar riffs & rhythms reminiscent of old
Sepultura. Vocals
are hard death style, I particularly like; "The Cartomancer", "Sub Race", "Temples of Carrion", "Bridges to
Melissa"**-vocals very black metallish on this song-a definite plus, in total eleven mid-paced thrash based
tunez. This is
Undercroft's fourth full-length release; "Twisted Souls"-'95, "Re-Demoltion" '97-includes
a re-edition of both demos & a bonus cover of
Napalm Death's "Bonebreaker", "Danza Macabra"-2000,
& lastly, "Evilusion"-2002. This album was produced by Daniel Bergstrand (producer of
Meshuggah & Lord
Belial), &
Undercroft. Undercroft flew to Europe to record "Evilusion" at Dug Out Productions in
Uppsala, Sweden. Overall, nice effort put out by
Undercroft & I look forward to hearing future releases by them.

"Raped in Their on Blood" '96, "Redemption" '99, "Revelation Nausea" '00, & of course
"Blood Rapture" '02.
Vomitory is one of Sweden's most vein rupturing bands, surfacing in '89 and remaining a
incorruptible force to this day. This release "Blood Rapture" is most definitely my favorite to
date by them. Brutalizing death metal vocals applied to every song by Erik Rundavist (also on
bass). "Blessed & Forsaken", "Redeemed in Flames", "Eternity Appears", "Nailed &
Quartered", & "Blood Rapture" shred. "Blood Rapture" captures the essence of extreme
madness. "Blood Rapture" is infectious, great percussion. The only disappointment with this
release is the cover art, not enough graphic details for such a wonderful release. You should be
nailed to the cross if you don't get

Freebase was formed in '95, this quartet hailz from England, & will soon head out on five dates with

more guitar riffing, than most hard-core bands, nice powerful rhythms, some of the songs that stick out are: "Force Fed Life", "Nothing to Regret", "Blood For Blood (Revenge is Sweet)", "Respect 2002", & "Cunt Hunter". Music is very aggressive & vox are perfect match.
Limbonic Art
"The Ultimate Death Worship"--

Candlelight 2002
Band Site Address: http://www.limbonic.com
Limbonic Art is a two man black metal band, founded in '93 by Daemon (ex-
Zyklon & the only original member of
Limbonic Art)-guitars, vox, lyrics, psycho piano & soon after joined by Morfeus, guitars & electronics.
Limbonic Art was formed as a four man band at first, but only the two remain. "The Ultimate Death Worship" is
Limbonic Art's follow-up to "Ad Noctum" - "Dynasty of Death'' CD released in '99 on Nocturnal Art Pro. Most annoying to me is the over use of the keyboards/electronics in various sections of the musick, if that was dropped this would make a most awesome band/release. Seeing them live was an experience I would rather not do again, very boring, they played the 2001 Milwaukee Metalfest. Actually, they annoyed me so much with their prolonged electronic intro I left after the first song. Back to "The Ultimate Death Worship", "Purgatorial Agony" track three, is most intensifying,-just screams of pain & torture, eerie sounds, & Daemonic voices, great intro into "Toward the Oblivion of Dreams" a ten minute excursion with once again too much psycho piano. Otherwise, the vocals kill, Daemon does sounds as if he was possessed by Satan, guitars shred, & drum machine is used. "Insterstellar Overdrive" is a blasphemous tune, I also like "From the Shades of Hatred". Eight dark symphonic tunez on
Limbonic Art's fifth's release, totaling fifty-two minutes. This is recommended only for those with a black heart.

Formed in Sweden in 1990 by Nicklas "Terror" Rudolfsson, & releasing four demo's, then lying dormant a couple years ('94-96), reestablishing a line-up, signing to Century Media Records in '98 & releasing what would be the first of three lp's for Century Media-("The Supreme Force Of Eternity", "Enter The Realm Of Death", & "Resurrection in Blood"). "Requiem of the Apocalypse" is their debut release on Aftermath Music-Germany. The musick is doomy death metal, slow paced, very dark & looming feel. Elements of
Black Sabbath & Bathory throughout the lp. The album is slightly over an hour long. I find the release to be good musically, however redundant at times, but it tends to bore me because of the slow pace.
Recently released on Aftermath Music,
RuneMagick's-"Moon Of The Chaos Eclipse" 10" pic disc.
