My Crazy Zany Mixed-Up Homes

This is where I tell you about the beautiful places I have the priviledge to call home.

College
Moving away from home is scary enough, but then you're thrown into a crazy place like Luther! All of a sudden you're living on B2W, the best floor (and dorm) around. We have a strange phenomenon though... lots of people have the same name! There are two Beths (well, I guess I'm technically Bethany), two Julies (one is Angela's and Jacquie's roommate), three Katies, two Erins (one is Christa's roommate), two Annas, two Stephanies, two Jacque/Jacquies, though they spell their names differently, and two Ashley/Ashlees, who, obviously, also spell their names differently.

Home
Arlington. My beloved Arlington. Well, first of all, it's tiny. Second of all, during the winter all the old people migrate, so it gets smaller. I think the population is about four hundred. My mom owns a ceramic shop on Main Street called Bear Creek Crafts, which recently suffered damage when the town's only restaurant and bar, The Welcome Inn, burned down. The town is beautiful, but that's not the half of it. I actually live on a farm outside of Arlington, and that's where the true beauty comes into play. The farm is on top of a hill, so you can see the rolling hills going away from it. We raise sheep and also own a miniature horse, Beauty, a dog, Snoopy, and a variety of cats, so you never feel like you're alone. Our house is nearly a century old, it was originally the house of my great-grandparents, Frank and Anna Dempster. They used to have parties in it, and there are still hardwood floors that they used to dance on. Outside, during the summer, we're surrounded by corn, during the winter, we're protected by our huge evergreen trees. What can I say? I love Iowa!!
