ENTER A PHASE OF OCEANIC CROSSING

ABOUT THE BAND

Kindred spirits.  These band mates have crossed different oceans, only to arrive in New York and be drawn to come together.  They have all been instrumental in the arrangements of the original material inspired by Stephen Cee.  Brace yourself for the wave ride that is 4 D Sea - a cornucopia of World/Alterna-Rock flavor!

THE PLAYERS

WENDY FLORES.  Born and raised in Harlem, New York and was brought up in the Pentecostal church until age of 18. Wendy sang solo with the choir from the age of 6. She was a background singer with the r&b group called “The New Beats”. Wendy also sang backgrounds for the group called “Jamila and Paradise”. She started her solo r&b singing career with Astro Genesis Records, by winning their Grand Showcase sponsored by Astro Genesis Records. Then a vision landed the versatile vocalist in this new World/Alterna Rock and Blues band 4D Sea.

STEPHEN CEE.  Cee moved to New York in 1982 from his hometown of Cincinnati to begin his career as a recording artist, playing guitar, drums and keyboards.  In the last 20 years, Cee's music has developed an international, funky flavor with the influence of musicians throughout the world.  Having formed Youngblood Productions in 1992, currently Cee is still Producing, Arranging, Composing and Engineering for many Artists and Musicians in styles ranging from Rap, Rock, Jazz, Dance, and Funk to Classical.  The multi-faceted production company does voice-over recordings in all languages for corporate clients, as well as educational videos, tapes and commercials.  The YBP produced CD entitled “Colors Mixed in Love” is available on CDBABY.com.

MIKO TANIMOTO.  Born in Japan, pianist Miko spent two years studying classical music at Kobe Yamate College.  She moved to New York in 1992 to focus on “playing music.”  Miko studied jazz with Sam Kent for one year, after which she was frequently hired to record house and dance music with DJ Sarai.  She’s been working with New York City bands Intrigue and Mocha Latte performing fairly frequently in several clubs.  “My favorite types of music are Jazz, Funk, R&B and Rock.”  4 D Sea has found quite the flexible player in Miko.

BRADEN SCHECTER.  Brady grew up in Point Reyes Station, California, where he started playing bass at age 11.  His first band experience was a group called Brotherhood with -- indeed -- two brothers.  He became interested in experimenting with Jazz in high school and performed with Hot Tamales Jazz Combo through 1998.  He graduated to The Schechter Trio, performing Jazz with his father and uncle.  He’s a lover of folk, rock and funk.  Brady has called the Big Apple home for 4 years and is proud to be making his NYC debut with 4 D Sea.

CHARLES L. BATTON.   Whaling from Pittsburgh, Chuck is the drummer on the first 4D Sea, CD and he displays an energetic versatility born of his seasoned experience. You get the idea,  Mr. Drummer Man has the unique ability to flow in and out of our consciousness without ever once missing a beat or overstepping volume boundaries!  He is truly a man in possession of a great deal of soul! And he has an unrelentingly steady foot. That has lead Chuck to leave the band, Chuck come on home? We are now work with other drummers and praying for the one that fits!!!
