Do you believe everything you read about Ben Folds?

Well, you shouldn't.

After reading hundreds of articles on the same topic, it becomes plainly evident that these people don't know what they're talking about.  (It also becomes clear that one has to be quite nuts to read hundreds of articles on the same topic, let alone create a website for that purpose.)  Throw university publications and amateur webzines into the mix, and things can get really out of hand.

As Ben once said, "People reviewing records are just not the final word on anything."

Ben was referring to the opinions of the reviewers, but it can also be applied to what passes for factual information.  To prove that point, I've compiled a list of all the false statements, blatant mistakes, incorrect assumptions, ambiguities, and other juicy bits of misinformation found in the archive.  (Plus a healthy dose of things that, while not technically incorrect, annoy or amuse me, and the Rumor Mill, dedicated to the rumors Ben started about himself in 2002.)
