BEH-SKAABii

Welcome to BEH-SKAABii's homepage. BEH-SKAABii is a northern singing group from Southern Ontario, Canada. The name BEH-SKAABii was give to the group by their grandfather Eric Isaac of Walpole Island, Ontario. The name "Gaa beh-skaabiid dewegigan" means "The drum that's coming back". The group uses the verb from the name, BEH-SKAABii, to keep things simple. They are a drug and alcohol free singing group and encourge other young men to learn the teachings of the drum also. The teachings have kept them on a good path and many good things have come from it.

They've been on the powwow trail for about 7 years now. They started singing as young boys drumming on a laundry basket. Since those young days BEH-SKAABii has covered much ground and have met many good people along the way.

"To all of you who have invited us to your powwows and to those of you who didn't but we showed up anyway..lol Miigwetch for your kindness and gratitude."

"We would like to thank the people for their kind words of advice and support through the years. We would especially like to thank the families of JB Schuyler and Thurman Bear. Both of these men supported us in any way they could. Both of these men were uncles to us. They have passed to the spirit world and we know they watch us all from there. We sing for them in rememberance of everything they did for us."
