The 203rd Field Artillery Battalion serving in the ETO in WWII had its origins as a Maine National Guard unit, the 152nd, formed May 15, 1922, which was redesignated as the 203rd F.A during WW II. In May of 1946, the 203rd was redesignated back into the 152nd. In 2006 the unit was deactivated in preparation for its transition into engineers...more history coming soon!
