1 Time Too Many, No Apparent Reason's 1st recording was supposed to be a demo tape, sent to a few record companies in hope of getting signed to a loccal label. Also, the band was hoping to make some of the money spent on the recording back by selling a few of the tapes to their friends.

The recording quality was good, but the performance wasn't. The guitar was off in many songs and was missing distortion in many songs. The bass was fairly good without almost any mistakes. The vocals weren't too good becuase John was sick at the time of recording. Also, the drums weren't too good because Ian had not really gotten good by then. He used about 2 beats on the album and barely any fills at all.

When the tapes were "up for sale" only 7 copies were sold, 4 to relatives! The guys realized it was horrible and didn't send this tape to any recording companies. They decided to make up some good, quality songs and get better on thier instruments, then make another attempt at making a demo.
