Well, it's a fifth week at No. 1 for both Celine Dion and my very own Karen Sisco soundtrack. Elsewhere on the TrackList, The Killers make an impressive move (50-19) with "Somebody Told Me" and the top debut comes from Switchfoot, as their latest single, "Dare You To Move", enters at No. 31. The song has been around awhile, having appeared on 2001's A Walk To Remember soundtrack. Also making notable leaps are Fatboy Slim and Bootsy Collins (34-25), Pop (36-29) and Toby Lightman (43-35). By moving into 4th place, "When You Kiss Me" officially becomes the biggest hit off of Shania Twain's Up!. The true epitome of a slow riser, "Kiss" could very soon become the first song in quite a while to reach No. 1 without originally debuting within the Top 40.

Down on the albums chart, new debuts of official CDs arrive for the first time since PJ Harvey, and include titles by Cherie, Ashlee Simpson and Dana Glover. I can first tell you that Ashlee's Autobiography pretty much bites. Expect a quick trip off the list. Meanwhile, Cherie's self-titled album is pretty decent and pretty, well, pretty. It's full of lovely songs, but could use a pulse. It feels like something too designed for AC appeal. Last and not least there's Dana Glover's 2002 album Testimony, a very good album that debuts "low" only because of its age. Cuz really, it's a fantastic CD.

Lastly, I want to discuss my new-found love for Kill Bill-Vol. 2. I mean, I loved it when I saw it in theaters, but after watching the DVD twice this weekend (and enjoying it thoroughly both times), I've decided that this amazing film is now my second-favorite of all time, which places it right behind 1972's The Godfather and a right ahead of 1999's Magnolia. I still want to watch it again. And again. And again... I mean, the last 40 or so minutes are just incredible, taking an already great movie and just making it something greater. I really can't describe how much I love it. Although I guess I just did... ---Brandon "Jayson" Ulman
