And Now A Word… |
I'm
about to utter something I never, ever thought I would: Victoria
Beckham has the No. 1
single on my chart.
The former Spice Girl and current wife of a soccer champion penetrates
the top slot with "Let Your Head Go," throwing OutKast back to No. 5 with "The
Way You Move." However, her
sudden victory shouldn't come as too much of a surprise; after debuting at
No. 41 Jan. 4, "Head" catapulted into the top 10 in just three weeks....Otherwhere,
Kimberley Locke is looking
to have the first real J-SWKD smash of the year. Her first single, "8th World
Wonder," entered the list at an impressive No. 25, and just one week
later, it's the No. 6 song. She might
easily conquer the TrackList by next week....Joss
Stone takes the pole position on the album chart
for the very first time with her Soul Sessions. Though it's only
officially been on the survey for 5 weeks, I picked it up last October. So, taking this into account, it took the
16-year-old Brit three months to hit the top.
I'd say congratulations, but this is only my chart, so it isn't that
big of a deal.--Brandon "Jayson" Ulman |
