CROSSING THE LINE

growing up i realized

that my body wasn't specialized

to be taken over by laws that were never even mine

turning into a woman i noticed

that no one ever bothered to tell us

that us womyn would have to fight

for the rights of our bodies

so as i enter womanhood

i have to somehow reverse these bad laws to be good

and get back the rights that we deserve

cuz politicians 'n priests

tell the worst lies i've ever heard

while holding onto a coathanger...

the only choice they had

THE ONLY CHOICE THEY HAD [the ones who are crossing the line are all those who want to (and for the most part do) take away a woman's right to choose whether or not she wants/needs an abortion. it's not even an issue for abortion. womyn (and girls!) are being lied to about what their options are. girls are being scared into going through with the pregnancy, or else they're finding unhealthy ways to abort it themselves. we don't need this. we need support from all sides. we don't need this ongoing war against womyn.]
