Dream Aria
Since late February of 2005 I've been featuring tracks from the CD "In The Wake" by Dream Aria. Those who know the show are certainly aware that when I hear great music I play it! --What a concept, eh? I have dreamed of music like this, and my dreams came true with this album.
There are many musical styles represented here... rock, progressive rock, trancey rhythms, and ballads; powerfully attacked, perfectly executed, and yet, at times, gently cascading through your ears and soul. Vocalist Ann Burstyn is this album's angelic voice, entrancing the listener with its stories and beautiful lore. On Friday, June 3rd, I featured a world premier of a new song by this band that will be part of a new compilation from Cypher Arts and Clearlight Music called Pirate Tales All the music on the disc represents various stories of the genre, including ELPs epic, "Pirates." Dream Aria perform a new song, not included on In The Wake called "Anne Bonny," about the 18th century female pirate originally from Ireland. --Here's a link to a bio for Anne Bonny
