Okay, here's the deal: You're an actor, and you need to hear what the accompaniment sounds like with a real pianist.  Or you just need the melody plunked out.  Or you need help finding a cut or a better transition.  Or you need to record a demo of yourself singing.  Are you getting the picture yet?  If it involves a piano and musical theater then I can help you!

  • Is your audition book thinner than an Equity contract?  It's tough finding audition songs.  I have over 400 scores you can look through until we find the perfect one for you.  Or we can brush up the songs you already have or work on that song they gave you a day to learn for your callback.  The charge is $40/hour ($25/half hour) if you come to my studio at 156th and Broadway, and $45/hour ($30/half hour) if we meet at a location of your choice.
  • Are you more comfortable in your pajamas?  If you'd like me to make a recording of a song and email it to you, I can do that.  You don't even have to leave your house; just email me the sheet music (if I don't have it already) and I'll send you one recording with the melody and one without.  The price is $10 for a 16-bar cut, $15 for a 32-bar cut, and $20 for the entire song.  The recording will be created using professional studio equipment and will not have any background noise.  You can pay with Chase QuickPay or PayPal, and no one will ever know you didn't wash your hair today.
  • Do you want people all around the world to hear you?  Even if you don't have a website, a demo recording is a great thing to have for those auditions you can't quite get to.  I'll lay down the piano track, you come to my studio and rock the vocals, and boom, you've got yourself a professional-sounding demo.   We can even record several songs and I can weave them together into a montage to show off your versatility!  Except in cases of extremely long songs (I'm looking at you, "Meadowlark"), the price is $20 for the piano track plus $40/hour for the vocals.
  • They want you to sing WHAT note?!?  So, you found the perfect audition song except for that one little note at the end, the one that makes you think the composer hates you.  Well, he probably does.  But I don't!  I'll help you find a better key for your song and transpose it for you.  The cost is generally $0.75-$1.00 per measure for a standard piano/voice arrangement, with a $20 minimum.  Please write or call for an exact price quote.
