Three weeks had passed and June was now approaching. The boys were still working hard on the album while the girls supported them through it all.
AJ and Jackee had started dating to everyone’s surprise. She was happy that her plan was going on without a hitch. Yet he didn’t feel the relationship would become serious because he wanted to be with Meg still.
Kat and Nick were never apart, but when they were, they were missing each other terribly. Needless to say, they were falling for each other hard and fast.
Cate was trying to take things slowly with Ashley because she didn’t want another relationship to go down the drain, especially the way her previous one did. The thing was, she found herself constantly thinking about him, which scared her a little.
Amy and Brian were doing okay as well. That is, when Amy wasn’t trying to cheer Meg up and worrying about her. Otherwise, things seemed to be going great for them.
Meg was actually doing better. She was working on ways to get AJ back and battling a cold all at once. All in all, things looked to be going smoothly.
“Amy, we’re going to be late for the party” Meg announced.
“I’m almost done” She replied.
They were going to a club to celebrate Ashley’s birthday and everyone would be there. They had all started to become great friends and it seemed like a great idea. (AN: I really don’t know what his b-day is but I’m sure it doesn’t matter to you guys…LOL)
“What the hell is she doing? We need to get there soon” Cate said frustrated.
“She’ll be out any minute” Kat reassured, just as Amy came out of her room.
“Lets go girls!” She exclaimed and they all walked out.
When they got there, the party was in full blast and was just about to get crazier.
“This is so much fun!” Meg said with a sudden burst of energy.
“And why is that, Meggers?” Amy asked curiously.
“I’m getting my man back”
“Aahh! This is great, I’m so happy!”
“I know, but I’ve been waiting to do this since we broke-up”
“The whole world has waiting for this”
“Yeah I know, but Jackee is such a sweet girl”
“She better be. I mean, she is related to me,” Amy said as they both laughed.
“How are you and Bri?”
“Just peachy keen I suppose”
“You don’t seem so sure of yourself”
“I guess I’ve just been so worried about you that we grew distant”
“That’s not good. Why don’t you talk to him?”
“Who knows? He’s just been so damn busy lately, spending more time in the studio and everything. But that’s his job and I respect that”
“You have a good point” Meg replied, when AJ and Jackee walked over.
“Hey sis, Meg” Jax replied.
“Hello Jackee”
“What are you girls doing?”
“Nothing J. Have you seen Bri?”
“Um…I don’t know”
“Okay, I guess I’ll go look for him” Amy said and disappeared into the crowd.
“Hi Meg, how’s your cold?”
“I went to the doctors and I’m feeling better. Thanks for asking, AJ”
“That’s good. I better go ‘cause Jax wants to mingle more”
“See ya lata” Meg said as they walked away.
“He will be mine at the end of the night. I swear he will,” Meg vowed silently.
An hour passed and ‘Happy Birthday’ was sung. The party started to get a little out of control as people started to drink more and more.
“Listen up everybody” A drunken Em suddenly interrupted, “I have a bit of news”
Of course, every ear perked up at a sudden batch of gossip.
“Okay, it seems that little innocent Jackee isn’t so innocent. She schemed to break AJ and Meg up, but that already happened, so that made it even easier to get him on the rebound. She doesn’t give two shits about anyone, not even her own half-sister. She just wants to get her own way”
“You bitch! You wanted Brian back so fucking bad, so don’t act like the peacemaker”
“Not anymore I don’t. I see how he feels about Amy and I’m not about to ruin that”
“Obviously not if kissing that manager from the studio, Lissa or whoever, was an indication” Jackee said, making all eyes turn to Brian.
Amy looked at him, completely shocked at what she heard.
“Brian…”
“I’m sorry. You were just so busy with helping Meg and Lissa was there to help me”
“More like shove her tongue down your throat you mother fucking asshole. I don’t ever want to talk to you again. And Jackee, there’s only one thing I can say. I wish I never knew you. Ashley, I’m sorry I ruined your party” Amy said and walked out of the club.
“I have to go after her” Jackee said and followed her.
“What the hell is the matter with you? You just ruined the best thing of your life” AJ said, shaking Brian.
“I fucked up bad and I just need to apologize. I just need to hope a little”
“Yeah, that would be a smart idea, Bri” Meg agreed.
They were interrupted suddenly by a blood-curdling scream as the sound of metal colliding with human flesh sounded through the air.
