AJ was sitting on a bench, watching the world pass by. Everything reminded him of Meg; the couple sitting on a near-by bench kissing, the two people walking hand-in-hand, everything… And she was on his mind constantly. If only he could find away to tell her he was sorry.
“Mind if I sit here?” A voice interrupted. He looked up and saw someone familiar. He couldn’t quite place where he’d seen her before.
“Umm sure, go ahead”
“Oh silly me. I’m Jackee and your AJ right?”
“Yeah, do I know you from somewhere?”
“You should. I’m Amy’s half-sister”
“That’s right. You haven’t been around much”
“I feel horrible about that but I’ve just been so busy with work and all, I haven’t gotten the chance to see her” She lied, hoping he believed her.
“Oh I see”
“Something wrong? You seem really depressed and not your usual happy self”
“I kind of broke up with Meg”
“I’m so sorry. I had no idea,” She said trying to feel bad, but inside she was screaming joyously considering it would be a lot easier than she thought.
“It’s okay. I guess it wasn’t meant to be”
“I know you’ll get through it. Maybe I can help”
“Thanks for the offer but I don’t know”
“C’mon, lets go get some ice cream. I’m starving”
“Sure, that would be nice” He agreed as they walked to get some ice cream.

Amy and Brian made their way off the elevator and headed for his apartment. They had enjoyed their picnic and had a nice long walk, sharing all their memories from when they were little. Now, they were just looking to spend more time together, hopefully alone. Brian unlocked the door and they both walked in, stunned at what they saw.
There was Kat, in a robe and sitting on the kitchen counter, and Nick in only a pair of boxers and kissing her while they attempted to eat ice cream, but it seemed they were a little occupied with each other.
“Are we interrupting?” Brian finally said.
“SHIT! What the hell are you doing here?” Nick asked as he and Kat broke apart.
“Well at the moment, I kind of live here so I thought it would be nice to come back and live here some more, but if you and Kat would like to be alone…”
“No man, it’s alright. I didn’t know you were coming back. I thought you would be at Amy’s place instead”
“Apparently I’m not so care to explain?”
“Well…uh…you see…”
“You guys are finally together?” Amy asked impatiently.
“I guess you could say that” Kat replied.
“Yes! It took long enough,” They said at the same time.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Nick asked irritated.
“You’ve only been talking about the girl for the past 24 hours!”
“Really?” Kat asked shocked.
“Yeah, I like you a lot”
“Trust me Nick, Kat feels the same way. She hasn’t shut up either”
“Really?” Nick asked Kat.
“Well yeah, I can’t stop thinking about you”
“Me either” He replied and kissed her once more as they continued where they left off, before Amy and Brian came in.
“Now what do we do?” Amy asked.
“Go to your place” He said and picked her up, carrying her across the hall.
He kicked open the door as she laughed, but then both came to a halt when they saw Meg. She was on the couch with a blanket wrapped around her as tears flowed down her cheeks. Brian put Amy down gently and she went to Meg’s side.
“How are you?”
“Not good. He tried to apologize but I was too stupid and let him go. If only I forgave him we would be back together”
“It’s alright sweets. You’re just confused right now. Everything will be okay”
“Amy, I’m going to head out,” Brian said suddenly.
“It’s okay, Bri. Just give me a few minutes,” She said, than turned back to Meg, “Why don’t I help you to your room. Is that okay?”
“That would be good. Thanks so much” She said, giving Amy a hug.
“It’s no problem. Now c’mon” She said and helped Meg to her room.
She came out a moment later, shutting the door gently.
“She didn’t look too good,” Brian said quietly.
“I feel so bad, Bri. I wish I could help but I can’t,” She said, crying a little.
“Hey! You did as much as possibly could for her. She’s just in a lot of pain and you can’t help her”
“You’re right and I’m sorry. You probably had something planned and I ruined it”
“It’s okay. I just want you to be okay”
“Can you hold me?”
“Of course” He said and hugged her as cried a little. He slowly picked her up and carried her to her room, tucking her into her bed. He went to leave but she stopped him.
“Brian, can you stay? Please?”
“Yeah I can stay” He replied and undressed until he was in his boxers. He climbed in next to her and held her until they both eventually fell asleep.

“You asshole!” Cate exclaimed.
“Things just aren’t the same and Julia is very sweet and understanding”
“Stay the hell away from me you bastard. Oh and another thing, your bowling sucks!” She said and ran out of the restaurant.
She couldn’t believe he dumped her. Her boyfriend Brad dumped her. It wasn’t like she didn’t see it coming. Things really haven’t been the same and it just all went terribly wrong…
“Miss, are you okay? I saw what happened in there”
“Yeah, I’ll be…fine” She said, looking up into a nice pair of baby-blues.
“Sorry, I was just making sure you were alright. I know how it feels. My girlfriend just broke up with me a week ago…Geez, I don’t even know you”
“No, it’s okay. We seem to already have a lot in common. I’m Catelyn Bergan”
“My name’s Ashley Angel”
“Aren’t you in that new group O-Town?”
“Yeah I am and my girlfriend just didn’t understand my job”
“That sucks, but go on” She said as they continued their chitchat.
