It was already time for Cate to go on the date with Nick. She hadn’t told anyone because she didn’t want anyone, especially Kat, getting upset. She was wearing a green knee-length dress and two-inch heals to match. The doorbell rang and Cate ran out to answer it.
“Bye guys” Cate said, running out the door.
“That was weird. So what are we doing tonight girls?” Meg asked.
“Well, Kris and Cate are gone, and you two are hear, so I say we get drunk” Amy said.
“No, I’d rather not. I need to talk to Nick” Kat said, but didn’t make an effort to get off the couch.
“You gonna do that any time today?” Amy asked sarcastically.
“I’ll do it later” She said as she stared off into space.
All of sudden AJ and Brian came bursting through the door.
“Hell ladies, what are you up to?” AJ asked walking over to Meg.
“Nothing really, where’s Nick?” Kat asked.
“Oh he went out with Cate-…uh no one,” Brian said, trying to catch himself from his slip-up.
“He went out with whom?”
“Uh…no one” Brian said, trying to cover his mistake.
“Brian, tell me the truth” Kat said, walking over to him.
“I’m not even supposed to know. I was overhearing things”
“Brian, don’t ramble. Tell me the truth”
“Catelyn. He went out with Catelyn”
“Oh, so he acts like he wants me than asks Cate out. She agreed too, the little bitch”
“Kat, don’t blame Cate for this. Nick’s the one who asked her out” Meg said.
“How would you know?”
“Because Cate’s a better person than that. I don’t know why she decided to go on the date though”
“I need to think things through. I’ll be back in a bit,” Kat announced walking out the door.
“I feel so bad for her” Amy said.
“Don’t worry about her. How’s things with Jackee?” Brian asked.
“Come to think of it, I don’t know where she is. She must have went out, too” Amy said, shrugging.
*Meanwhile*
“That’s the worst thing I ever heard, Jax”
“Seriously, I could break them up, make him see who he really loves, and you two are together again. Than I’ll make my moves on AJ, and we all live happily ever after”
“He’s not in love with me anymore. He’s after your half sister”
“Screw my half sister. Do you honestly think I bought that ‘I wanna be apart of your life’ crap? No way! C’mon Em, we can do this”
“I want him back, but I don’t think that’s the way I should do it”
“God, what is with you? What happened to the Em I use to know?”
Em thought about that. Why couldn’t she get him back? She still cared for him and was ready to be with him for real this time. She felt bad that she broke his heart, but she vowed she would never do it again. She finally came to a conclusion, smiling in satisfaction.
“She was in hiding for a bit, but she’s back, better than ever” Em replied with an evil smile, answering Jackee’s question.
*Back At The Girls Apartment*
“So Meg, what do you wanna do?” AJ asked, smiling.
“I don’t know. Got something in mind?” She asked, flirting right back.
“After last night, I’ve got a lot on my mind. Wanna go back to my place for some privacy?”
“I guess, but I feel like were moving too fast” She said seriously.
“Don’t say that. We’re going at a perfectly normal speed,” He said, throwing a sexy smile.
“Okay, I guess we could. Let me tell the other two” Meg said, and went to tell the other two when she noticed that Brian and Amy were in a hot-and-heavy make out session on the couch. “Nevermind”
AJ and Meg went across the hall, barely keeping their hands off each other. Clothing was thrown everywhere and they finally ended up on the couch. He entered her quickly, not wasting any time. They moved rhythmically until it was too much for the both of them as they climaxed together. Afterwards, AJ grabbed a blanket and threw it over the both of them as they snuggled close together. “That was amazing, J” Meg said after a long moment of silence.
“Meg, I was thinking” AJ said as she looked up into his eyes.
“What is it? You can tell me”
“I think I’m falling in love with you” He said truthfully as Meg just stared at him, completely shocked by his sudden declaration. “You saying something would be nice”
“I…I don’t know…what to say. I better go” Meg said, getting up and began to get dressed.
“What do you mean, you have to go?”
“AJ, we barely know each other. I can’t say that I love you just like that”
“But you can have sex with me in a heartbeat” He said, instantly regretting it.
“You asshole. Don’t ever talk to me again, got that? Good” She said, and left as soon as she was fully clothed.
“FUCK! What am I gonna do now?” AJ asked himself, sitting there with just a blanket covering him.
Cate and Nick were enjoying dinner, but Cate knew he didn’t like her. She knew he was still head over heels for Kat, but she was enjoying spending time with Nick as just friends.
“Listen Nick, I know you’re only here tonight so you can make Kat jealous”
“What? That’s not true. I like you”
“Well, I like you too. As a friend”
“Yeah, me too. Its just Kat doesn’t want to be with me”
“Yes, she does. She’s miserable because she blames herself for running away that day”
“You’re joking right?”
“No, I’m telling the truth. She needs you, Nick. You have to believe me”
“What am I gonna do?”
“You’re gonna leave this dinner, find her, and tell her how you feel”
“What about you?”
“I’m going home and enjoy a nice Saturday night of free time”
“Thanks Cate, I’m glad to have a friend like you”
“I am too, Nick. Now go find her” Cate said, as Nick got up and left.
I’m glad I did something right for a change, Cate thought to herself, than left money for the check.
Nick was practically running home when he noticed a girl on a bench crying. He couldn’t just leave her there so he decided to see what the problem was. He walked closer and the girl kind of looked familiar.
“Are you okay, Miss?” He asked sweetly.
“Leave me alone. My life sucks” She announced. That voice was all too familiar, so Nick looked a little closer.
”Kat, is that you? What’s the matter?”
“What are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be off enjoying dinner with Catelyn”
“Who told you?”
”Brian told me because I made him” Kat replied as she wiped a tear away.
“I’m sorry, about everything. I’m sorry I kissed you, I’m sorry I went out with Cate, and I’m sorry I ruined your life” Nick said, than got up and started to walk away.
“Nick, wait” She said, as he stopped and turned around, “You didn’t ruin my life. I ruined yours”
“No you haven’t, Kat. I’ve been miserable because I thought you hated me and you didn’t want to deal with me”
“I’ve been equally miserable because I thought you were pissed that I ran off like that. I ran because I thought you were being a smart ass”
“Yeah, I can be like that sometimes and I’m sorry. Can we start over?”
“I’d like that a lot”
“Hi, I’m Nick. How are you?”
“I’m Kat and I’m fine” She said smiling.
“I am too. I’m sure you’d like to get to know me better. Let’s see, I’m an Aquarius, love N64 and Basketball, my best friend is Brian Littrell…” Nick said as they walked back to the apartments, laughing and enjoying each other’s company the whole way.
