Amy quietly walked into the apartment, trying not wake anyone. It was around midnight and she could have sworn that was one of the longest flights she ever took. That was besides the point though. First thing tomorrow, she would go and tell Brian, hoping he would understand.
She saw someone rustling around the kitchen and couldn’t figure out why. Flipping on the light, she froze to her spot.
“Howie?? Wait, Callie??” She asked shocked, “What are you doing here?”
“Uh…well, I came down to visit and well, he was my date” She replied.
“What she said” He added.
“Ya know, I’m not even going to ask. Goodnight” Amy answered and carried Kayla to her room.
“Maybe we should go back to bed” Howie suggested.
“Or how about we…” Callie trailed off and whispered the rest in his ear.
“That could work too” He agreed as she giggled.
Catelyn arrived back to her apartment the next morning to make sure Amy had gotten home safely. She walked in to find Kat sprawled across the sofa bed, while Meg was scrunched up into a little ball in the corner.
“Morning Cate” Amy replied, walking out with Kayla in her arms.
“You’re back, hopefully not as mad”
“I’m better and I didn’t mean to get so upset. It was just everything at once kind of had a huge part. I’m back for good now”
“That’s good to hear. So what happened?” Catelyn asked, giving her a quick hug.
“As soon as I can get a hold of him, I’m telling him”
“Are you serious? You’re not trying to screw with my emotions are you?”
“Not one bit. He needs to know and now couldn’t be more perfect”
“Okay, who the hell are you and where is Amy?”
“Cate, I can’t lie to him or Kayla any longer. This needs to be let out once and for all”
“That’s so sweet” She replied, brushing a fake tear away.
“Yeah, let’s hope he feels the same” Amy added as the phone rang.
“I got it” Cate said and picked it up, “Hello, Cater Tater’s and Amers’ place, may I ask who’s speaking.
“Who is it?” Amy mouthed to her while Cate just told her to hold on.
“Uh huh, we’ll be down later. Congrats you two. Bye” She finished and hung up.
“Who was that?”
“That was JC. Jen just delivered a healthy baby boy, Sean Michael Chasez. I told him we’d be down in a little bit”
“That’s so great. We haven’t heard from them in ages”
“I know. May I ask why you’re holding Kayla if she’s still sleeping?”
“She was up so I picked her up and she was out in two seconds”
“Right, keep believing that and maybe it’ll come true” Cate said.
“Morning babes” Meg announced, standing up and rubbing her eyes.
“Hey sleepy head, how did you sleep?”
“Okays, when Kat wasn’t kicking me anyways”
“I don’t kick that much” Kat replied defensively.
“Whatever” Meg said when the doorbell rang.
“I’ll get it since you all are still in your pjs” Cate commented.
“No I got it, Cate. Go start breakfast” Amy added.
“Alrighty buddy. I’ll be in the kitchen”
Amy walked over and opened the door to see Brian standing on the other side of it. He began to smile seeing her standing there.
“Hey you, you’re back” He replied sweetly.
“That I am. How are you?”
“Better now that you’re back. How’s Kay?”
“She’s fine. I missed you a lot”
“I missed you a whole lot more” He smiled and gave her a little kiss.
“Bwian! I missed you” Kayla suddenly said, jumping into his arms.
“Hey little lady, I missed you too”
“C’mon in. We need to talk”
They went back into the living room to see the rest of the current residents up, which included AJ, Kristen, Howie, Callie, and of course Kat and Meg.
“Having a party and not tell me about it?” Brian joked.
“Please, I didn’t even know half these people would be here”
“So what did you need to tell me?”
“Umm hold on. Cate, take Kayla for me” She replied, handing Kayla to her.
“Alright, let me just finish this real quick” She commented, then took Kay as soon as she was done.
“Let’s go to my room since it’s quieter”
“Alright, lead the way” He replied as they walked out.
“Where are they going?” Megs asked suspiciously as Kat just shrugged.
“You two promise not to say anything?” Cate began, thinking they would want to know too.
“Umm sure, what’s this about?” Kat questioned.
“She’s gonna tell him” She responded as Meg looked shocked and Kat didn’t follow.
“Tell him what? I’m confused” She sighed.
“Remember that little person named Kayla?” Cate said sarcastically.
“Holy Shit! Right now she’s doing it?”
“I hope. She better not chicken out or I’ll tell him myself”
“I wonder how he’ll take it” Meg pondered as the other two agreed.
“Okay, so what’s so important that you needed to be alone?”
“You know I love you and that I’m glad we found each other again right?”
“Of course, because I feel the same way”
“Good. That’s really good to know”
“Is there something you need to tell me?”
“Actually there is. This isn’t the easiest thing in the world to say”
“Umm okay. Continue I guess”
“What I mean is, the thing that you need to know would be that…”
Amy began to say, when she was cut off by the doorbell.
