Three hours later, Amy and Kayla finally arrived in Pennsylvania. Amy was carrying her since she was still asleep so she gathered her luggage, and hopped in a taxi that took her to her parents place.
The cab pulled up in front of the average-looking home where she spent most of her childhood and teen years. It had been way too long. She walked up the porch and rung the doorbell, eagerly waiting a reply. A moment later, her mother swung open the door.
“Sweetheart! What are you doing here?” She asked.
“I needed to get away from Florida”
“Get in here and warm up. We’ll have a nice talk about it”
She did so and went up to her old room so she could lay Kayla down. She left her suitcases and everything else there, then went back down the stairs.
“I made some tea, so help yourself to some”
“That’s alright. Thanks anyways, Mom”
“What is the matter with you?”
“You remember how I told you about Kayla’s father, right?”
“Why yes, you said his life was more important than her and you didn’t want to ruin it for him. I remember him perfectly”
“Mom, he’s not like that. At all. It was me that pushed him out of her life. The thing is, he’s back in it and doesn’t know it”
“He doesn’t know? You mean to tell me my granddaughter has her daddy right in front of her, but her mother is being too selfish for her to know the truth?”
“You don’t get it, Mom. I told you he has a life far more important than raising some kid”
“Is that what he said? Or is that what you convinced yourself to believe?”
“I’ve kept it from him this long, so a little longer won’t hurt”
“Amy, you can’t keep avoiding it. If you don’t tell him soon, it might be too late. Or even worse, you’ll got the reaction you weren’t hoping for. Kayla needs her father more than ever so I suggest you give her one”
“I just got him back last night. I can’t stand to loose him again. It would just be too painful”
“Just think about it okay? Do it for Kayla” Mrs. Evans announced and walked out of the room.
“I have been thinking about it. Actually, since the day he left me”

After Meg returned, AJ told her he had something on his mind and that he wanted to take her to the park. She reluctantly agreed, hoping it wasn’t something he planned to be romantic. When they did get there, they just sat out a bench ant thought for a bit, that is, until AJ broke the silence.
“I think we need to talk”
“Yeah, I know what you mean”
“I want to be honest with you, so just listen okay?” He asked as she nodded in reply, “Okay, it seems I’m having second thoughts about the wedding. Kristen coming back into my life completely threw me off track and I just don’t want to hurt you. You’re a sweet girl Meg, and I’m glad I found you. Even if you are just a friend in the end”
“I totally understand. I’ve been having doubts myself and I just don’t think it’s meant to be. I think you belong to Kristen and well, there’s a chance I might have found someone too. I would love to remain friends. I think it would do us both some good”
“I’m so relieved you feel this way” He replied and gave her a huge hug.
“Yeah, but no need to cut of my circulation” She said laughing, and he let go of her.
“So what do you want to do?”
“Let’s just talk. We haven’t done that in a while”
So that’s what they did. They talked about their love problems, or anything else they could think of at the moment. It made them realize they would be better off friends anyway.

Kristen and Danny were still watching the movie, while Kat and Jaime had moved onto kissing. Danny would put his hand on her leg every so often, but she only pushed it away. She didn’t want to get into another relationship that only led to her telling of her horrible past. The only person who truly understood that was AJ. AJ. Why the hell couldn’t he be hers? Her thoughts suddenly drifted when the doorbell rung.
“I’ll go get that”
“I should go anyway. Just tell Jaime to get his ass home tonight”
“You sure?”
“Yeah, it’s cool. See ya later” Danny said and walked out. AJ was standing there a little confused, but shook it off.
“What are you doing here?”
“I thought I’d stop by”
“Oh okay. Let’s go to my room because Kat’s a little preoccupied”
“Lead the way” He replied and they went to her room.
“So what do you need?”
“I wanted to tell you that Meg and I aren’t together anymore”
Kristen couldn’t believe it, “WHAT?”
“We don’t feel the same. She found someone and so have I”
“Well, you should find her and tell her”
“I’m in the process of doing that” He said with a smile.
“Wait…you mean…I was the other girl? The one who broke you two up?”
“No, not at all! Like I said, Meg found someone else too, so it was bound to happen”
“I can’t just jump into another relationship…”
“Yes you can”
“Especially since what we had three years ago could have changed…”
“Than we’ll work on it”
“And there’s a chance you’ll break my heart again…”
“No way in hell would I do that. I love you too much”
“You still…love me?”
“Of course, I never stopped”
“I feel the same way” She said smiling. They started to lean in for a kiss, when the doorbell suddenly rang again, “I have to get that”
“Can’t Kat do it?”
“Nope, I’ll be right back” She answered.
She walked out and saw that Kat and Jaime didn’t even budge. She opened the door and was shocked to see who it was.
“Callie! What are you doing here?”
“I missed my fav. dancer too much” She replied and gave her a hug.
“This is great, but I have no clue where you’ll stay”
“I’ll find a spot” She said as AJ walked out of her bedroom.
“Cal, what are you doing here?”
“I should be asking the same thing?”
“Long story. Come on in and we’ll explain” Kristen said.

Amy was sitting at the kitchen table when the phone suddenly rang.
“You getting that, Mom?” She asked, but there was no reply, “Guess not” She said and picked it up, “Hello?”
"Wazzupppppppp!" Came a reply.
“Who is this?”
“Wazzupppppppp!”
“Okay, knock it off. Who is this?”
“Wazzupppppppp!”
“Is this Molly?” She asked and it was suddenly silent.
“I see dead people” Came a little whisper.
“Ha-ha, very funny”
“Open the front door” The whisper said once more.
“Whatever” Amy said and hung up the phone.
She walked over to the front door and answered it, but there was no one there.
“BOO!” said a girl while jumping in front of her.
“Shit Molly, don’t do that!” Amy said surprised.
Molly was 18 and had strawberry blond hair with green eyes. She was wearing a blue Roxy t-shirt and denim bellbottoms. Her hair was in perfect pigtail buns, as always, and she was wearing little make up.
“Hey, no swearing. It’s bad for you” She said and walked right in.
“What are you doing here anyway?”
“Thought I should visit my favorite cousin and her daughter. Where is Kayla by the way?”
“Sleeping so don’t go waking her up”
“Yeah, well you’re no fun”
“And you act like you’re still twelve”
“Someone has to”
“Aren’t you supposed to be on that surf tour thingy?”
“Yeah, but I didn’t like it. Although, I did meet one very hott guy”
“No need for details, that’s your life”
“I guess I should stay here for a bit and make your life hell. I do that best anyway”
“Whatever Molly. Just don’t do anything, I don’t know, stupid”
“What’s that suppose to me?” She asked but Amy ignored her, “I am smarter than you so you’re just jealous….” She continued but Amy again, ignored her.
