For what it's worth, here are my thoughts on the cd. You know how 9 times out of 10 somebody from one of your favorite bands moves on or does something on their own and it turns out to be some real serious crap?. I mean hey, look at Robert Plant, do you need to be reminded of the Honeydrippers?. The Honeydrippers sucked. Robert Plant has more mojo in his spit than I have in my whole body. But that's not the point. The point is that nine times out of ten when an artist strays from his root to success, they just plain old suck. Their "personal vision" has nothing to do with the band they left or were asked to leave. That is not the case with Alex Mitchell. Alex Mitchell is not a "fake" or a "phony". Alex Mitchell did not pretend to be a anything but Alex Mitchell. Alex Mitchell is an enigma. A rock n roll "Mad Max", the last of the cowboy frontmen. The voice of a Dean Martin with the cool of a James Dean.

This cd is a pleasent surprise to say the least. Everything from ass kickin' old school hard rock to classic country with a twist. Alex Mitchell has returned to the music scene with every ounce of credibility he left it with. Do yourself a favor and order this cd. Any songs without wav samples can be heard at cdbaby.com. Cool Vices era riff. Some good ol' swamp boogie blues.....

4.GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME
This song sounds like some musicians hanging in the seventies having a couple beers and jamming. That's a good thing. One of my favorites.

I know this song from some old COP demos I have. Very cool Honky Tonk number.

6.STRANGERS IN THE MARKET
Seeing an old love for the first time in a long time.....we have all been there,now its set to music.Good music at that.

7.AM I WRONG
I love this song. Great old school country bass line in the line of Marty Robbins. Old west guitars with a love lorn gunslinger behind the mike.

8.SWEET CHRISTINE
This track is unreal. Funk n Roll is what this is. If your foot doesn't move during this track, check your pulse.

Kid Rock is wrong....you can say the "f" word in a country song. Another Country Western standout.

10.WHORE WITH A HEART
One of my favorites for years to come. 1950's country. Great song.

11.IN THE SHADOW OF YOUR LOVE
Back to Rock n Roll. Reminds me of Magic & Madness stuff. Turn it up.
