My favorite fantasy movies:
Labyrinth is the story of a goblin king and a would-be queen. The Goblin King, Jareth, falls in love with a girl, Sarah, who is stuck babysitting her baby brother, Toby. Bothered by his crying, she wishes Toby away. Granting her wish, Jareth takes her baby brother to the goblin city to raise him and turn him into a goblin. Jareth then gives Sarah 13 hours in which to solve the Labyrinth and get Toby back home safe.During her quest, she meets many interesting creatures, makes some friends, and encounters some conflicts. Will she make it in time? Find out for yourself and rent the movie!
The Princess Bride is about a girl named Buttercup and her "one true love" Wesley. With a final kiss good-bye, and a vow that he will one day return, Wesley leaves to seek his fortune. When Buttercup hears that he has been lost at sea, she promises herself that she will never love again, but an evil prince seizes the oppurtunity to marry Buttercup. But before she can say "I do" Wesley returns to battle wizards, warriors and giants to come to her rescue. Will Wesley and Buttercup end up together? Or will the prince force her to marry him? I dunno...rent the movie.
The Last Unicorn is about a lonely Unicorn who lived with the rest of the animals in the forest, when one day she meets a wise butterfly who explains to her that she is not the only unicorn, and that the red bull had driven all of the unicorns to the end of the earth, and binds them there, in the sea, by fear. When she discovers that she can save her brothers and sisters, she embarks on an incredible journey through an unknown land.
Dragon World is about a little boy who moves to Scotland to live with his Grandfather. One day, when he is outside playing, he encounters a baby dragon. They become best friends and grow up together. Then, one day, some Americans find him, kidnap him and attept to use him as a tourist attraction in an amusement park called "Dragon World." Will he be able to save his best friend? Find out for yourself. Watch the movie.
The Neverending Story is what we call a "frame story" or a story inside a story. A boy named 'Bastien is reading a book called 'The Neverending story' and he later becomes part of the story. The story he is reading is about a boy warrior named Atreyu as he tries to save his world known as Fantasia from the empty wrath of the Nothing.
