Bobby Womack Chat Session
On Thursday evening, Sept 28, 2000, I had the delightful opportunity of hosting a LIVE internet chat with Bobby Womack in conjunction with Bob Davis and his Soul-Patrol Website held in the Soul-Patrol Chat Room. The chat took place in the upstairs office of The Mint, a Los Angeles nightclub.
Bobby was right on time and the Chat came off without a hitch. The fans really turned out to show their support, and the artist was greatly impressed by the depth of knowledge his fans have about his music and his life in general.
Bobby was in good spirits and seemed to really enjoy himself. Despite the intensity of the session with so many fans asking questions at once, the atmosphere was relaxed and we all had a great time doing it. Bobby answered questions about his past, his relationships with other artists and friends such as Sam Cooke, Rick James, Johnnie Taylor, and Sly Stone, as well as his plans for the future.
