Jamaica Ashe is:

Mitch Langsam - Vocals, Keyboards
Frank Giliberti - Guitars
Pete Castiglione - Bass
Gerard Viola - Drums
Tim Davison, Pete Leone, Logan Reid - Horns

In Massapequa Park, NY (Long Island, that is), in 1998, Tim got a few friends together to jam on Led Zeppelin songs. It was going nowhere, however, so it ended pretty quickly. At the same time, Pete and Frank were playing in a rock band called Roice Nakanonie. This band, too, was going nowhere pretty damn fast, so they broke up as well.

Tim’s friend James Barry, an 80’s pop fan, wanted to make a band, and asked Frank and Tim about it. It was a failed attempt, however. Still, Tim was persistent. He got Frank and Pete back, and added Gerard and Mitch. The band had no bassist, so they played 80s pop, much to James’ happiness. His love of new wave got the best of him, however, as the band kicked him out. Tim named the band Jamaica Ashe. They grabbed a bassist and starting playing that good old ska music. They played at something called Kid Fest, and therefore considered themselves hot shit.

Ashe kept practicing, and recorded the song "Eight Lives Wasted On Ska". They kept adding and subtracting members, until a final lineup was secured. They recorded an EP, "Suburban Assault On Tony", in the basement of a guy named Frank. They’re currently touring the Long Island area and working on a full-length album, to be released in a month or so. Check out MP3.com’s Ashe site as well as Napster for some samples of their music.
