Playbill of My Performances

This show was the first musical I was ever in. I had just moved to a new school, Marion High Shcool, and was in 9th grade. I had no idea what actually went on on satge and behind the scenes. It was a great experience for me. I was only a Chorus Memeber in the show. I couldn't dance very well back then. It's no wonder they even put me on stage. ~

This show was the first time I had a lead in a show. I played Marion the Librarian from River City, Iowa. I was so excited because I was only in 10th grade. I was able to let out everything that I had learned in 9th grade, and show everyone what I had. I was very impressed with myself. I didn't know I had as much stage presence as everyone was telling me. Marion high School went on to win Best Musical Production in Wayne County for the local Musical/Drama Competition. This show was very special to me and made me realize what my dream was. I knew from then on that I wanted to be in Musicals and on stage for the rest of my life.

This was my first Communtiy Theater show at Gateshall in Pultneyvill, NY. Gateshall is the second oldest theater in the United States. I became part of the Gatessingers in the Fall of 1998. The production was for Youtheater. I played the role of Luciana, Adriana's sister. It was an incredible experience because of all the wonderful people I met on and off stage. Everyone was wonderful and very talented. It made me realize that I would be performing many more shows at Gateshall.

This show was during my Junior year in high school. I played the role of Irene Molloy, the wealthy Hat Shop owner. her and her assistant, Minnie Fay, go on to meet Cornelius hackle and Barnaby Tucker, with whom they find great friendship with. The four of them realize that their lives are meant to be together. This show was another smash hit for Marion Musicals. We went on to win best Musical Production in Wayne County for a third year in a row. Also, I won best Supporting Actress in a musical Runner-Up in that same competition. It was a tremendous show.

This show was my first Operetta. I performed it at Gateshall with many adults and teenagers. I played the role of Elsie Maynard, the strolling minstrel, with a wonderful sidekick who played jack Point, David Autovino. We had a blast in this show. I met many talented people who supported me through my first major role in an Operetta. I loved the show for many reasons: 1) I had the chance to sing with my classical training 2) I had a great partner throughout the show (David) and 3)I met so many talented people who gave me great advice about singing and performing.

This show was the second and last Youtheater production of my career at Gateshall. I played the role of Meg Boyd, the wife. it was the best role for me because it gave me a chance to try out my big belting voice before auditions for Anything Goes. I sang "Six Months Out of Every year" and "A Woman Doesn't Know", which developed my Alto range. I loved it also because of the wonderful people I was able to hang with. They are all so supportive and wonderful. I will always miss Youtheater.

This show was the best show I have ever been in. I played the role of Reno Sweeney, the evangelist and night club singer. Reno changed my whole outlook on acting and performing. I learned that I can play any role now. From a stuck-up Librarian to a sexy night club singer, I think I can do it now. I loved this show because of the challenges that were given to me. At first I didn't even think I was going to get the part because I have always played the engenue parts. But, then I started the sing more low belting songs and realized that I might have a chance. I did the audition and got it. The challenges all started in September before the show. Anyone auditioning for the show needed to learn how to tap dance. Considering, Marion High School has never put on a tap musical before, there were a lot of us who needed to learn. We had tap classes once aweek for about anhour and a half. We all learned how to tap by March, although it was not easy. The 10 minute tap dance was also not easy. It gave me many breakdowns!! A But, we all learned it and it went over great! The show was the best show Marion has put on since I have been here in the last 4 years. I feel like I have accomplished many things during this show. I recognized myself as an actress for the first time. I know that I could do any part given to me. I loved this show!
