Buddy Holly Is A Legend. That isn't enough to sum up his career though. This man is one of the most influential performers of Rock N' Roll Ever, and besides Elvis, probably the greatest influence ever. You say the Beatles, the Rolling Stones are the next greatest? WRONG! Buddy and his group, the Crickets (Recorded with Buddy on most of his records, although some of these recordings were released as solo Buddy Holly Releases) influenced both these groups very much! Buddy Holly still was making hits up to 10 YEARS AFTER his death! Now that is amazing. You may not like him but there is no way you can argue that he was the FATHER of ROCK. Elvis was the King, but Buddy was the Father of Rock. And Buddy will forever live in all our hearts, especially with his unforgettable hits, some of which are Oh Boy; Peggy Sue; That'll Be The Day; Rave On; Maybe Baby; Brown Eyed Handsome Man; Bo Diddley, Peggy Sue Got Married, and other classics.
