We are pioneers.
My parents volunteered to go along with eleven other families to colonize an unexplored land.
I'm not sure where we are, but we have no outside contact. We got here by going through a portal and we were transported here.
It is different from our own country. The plants and animals are different. Even the dirt is different, and there are strange storms that hit us, the likes of which we have never seen.
We brought our horses and carriages with us, and what belongings we could fit in our wagons.
We have built a small town and are learning to get along with each other.
Each family has come from a different country and speaks their own language.
The land is vast, and we don't dare venture too far out of town because there are strange things that live out there, and we never know what to expect.
We learn about our new surroundings and live one day at a time.
