25/05/07 I know I haven't updated here in a long time, so I'm not sure who's still checking in. To be honest you're best checking Cerys' MySpace for news! However, just to let any loyal visitors know that BBC 6Music are playing some live Catatonia tracks between 00:20 and 00:50 on the night of Wednesday May 30th (well, technically Thursday morning!) on the George Lamb Show. They will be tracks taken from a concert recorded in 1998.
20/07/06 Cerys now has an official MySpace. You can find it here. A full list of dates for the Autumn tour are on there.
19/07/06 There's a whole load of news today it seems! I just found out from Ents24, that Cerys is playing the following dates in September and October:
Mon 25 Sep - The Cockpit, Leeds
Tue 26 Sep - Manchester University, Manchester
Thu 28 Sep - Liverpool University, Liverpool
Fri 29 Sep - Oran Mor, Glasgow
Wed 4 Oct - The Rescue Rooms, Nottingham
Fri 6 Oct - Parc & Dare Theatre, Treorchy
19/07/06 Cerys will be on GMTV Today on Tuesday 1st August. It's on from 07:00 - 09:25 on ITV1.
19/07/06 Cerys' new official website is now up and running. You can visit it here.
19/07/06 Can't make it to the Cambridge Folk Festival? Don't worry, you won't entirely miss out, as Stuart Maconie's going to be broadcasting live from there on Radio 2 between 2pm and 5pm on Saturday 29th July! And who's one of his guests? Why, Cerys of course!
14/07/06 A Spanish fan e-mailed me and asked if I could possibly transcribe Cerys' recent appearance on Tom Robinson's Evening Sequence on 6Music - so I did! You can download the Word document here.
13/07/06 Another gig has been announced! This time it's a very low-key gig in September - from the sounds of things, it's a warm-up gig before a bigger tour! It's on Saturday 23rd September at The Band Room in Farndale, Yorkshire. It's a 100-capacity venue so tickets are bound to disappear quickly! Snatch some up at The Band Room website.
12/07/06 I've just found out that Cerys is playing Portsmouth Wedgewood Rooms on July 21st. Tickets are only £10 and you can buy them online here.
09/07/06 Cerys will be playing a live session on Tom Robinson's Evening Sequence on 6Music on Wednesday 12 July. You can listen online at the 6music website, or of course via DAB digital radio or digital TV. The show is on from 19:00 - 21:30.
01/07/06 This doesn't technically classify as 'news' but I thought the people who check this site might be interested anyway. I recently dug out some video clips I've got from gigs I've been to. They're 30 second (or less!) clips from my digital camera. I warn you now that the sound quality's very ropey and not at all representative of what it was actually like at the gigs, but they're still enjoyable to watch. One of them's filmed sideways, so you have to tilt your head to watch it, but the rest are all the right way up! Oh and if you can hear me singing in the background of any of them, I sincerely apologise!! You can view them at the following links (though they're not available for download I'm afraid):

14/03/06 A new Catatonia compilation is due for release on Monday 20th March. It's called The Platinum Collection and includes an interesting mix of singles, album tracks and b-sides. You can order it from a number of places online, including 101cd.com for a bargainous £3.99 (+ £1 postage).
14/03/06 Mark and Paul have formed a new band called Y Ffyrc. Yes it translates as 'The Fork' but no it's not entirely random as it's also an anagram of Y Cyrff. They recently recorded a session for Radio Cymru and you can listen to those tracks here.
06/01/06 If you haven't seen it already, you can watch Cerys on Max Boyce Goes To College on Friday 20th January from 20:30-21:20 on BBC 2W. It's a programme that was recorded in 2002 and features Cerys singing Keep The Home Fires Burning, Calon Lān and Bachgen Bach O Dincer.
