"ORDEAL" CD !!!!!6 BIG NEW SONGS FROM THE GRINDINGEST BAND Kathleen EVER put together!!!!! THERE'S A LEONARD COHEN COVER!!!!!!!!!!HANDMADE ARTWORK LIMITED EDITION!!!!!!!!NEW NEW NEW!!!!!
here's a review from A Waltzer, USA: "Speaking of slow but with a potential for ugly violence, I experienced the Ordeal today. fuck. It's
just amazing....does this sloppy din make sense in anyone's heads? It defies any concept of music;
so sloppy and agressive. Seriously, I ask this with all due respect, but are the other two
possibly...retarded? It is the essence of chaos....it's incredible, everything just falls apart further
and further. Some of it is actually quite beautiful but....a few times during the disc I just thought;
more so then while listening to Deicide or whatever death metal, this is ugly music! And, you say
it's a failure and yeah, but it is a glorious failure, like instead of falling out of a plane and going
thump falling out of a plane and taking half the passengers, half the sky, whatever down with
you. I'm really glad you did it and sent it and that it's in the past for you. Ordeal, that's perfect." and from Steven Ruhl, USA:"I think it's a
masterpiece.
I love its ethereal angelic trance-punk
postindustrial death-noise free jazz hypno-folk-metal,
very damaged and so amazingly gorgeous. There's so
much to listen to in each moment: mesmerizing guitar
overtones, the phenomenal drumming, the sonic
textures, your careening vocals. I love also how the
music mixes and transcends dualities: tight structure
and improvised chaos; creation and mayhem; delicacy
and power; scathing ugliness and sublime beauty. I
think the "Job" piece is a masterpiece within the
overall masterpiece, but each track is incredible.
You're just a consummate artist, that's all there is
to it, visionary and gutsy and immensely gifted. I
wish you could do wide distribution for this CD, not
to plug into the music industry machine, but so that
people could be exposed to something so intelligent
and bold -- so that they could see what's possible
when a person is brilliant and passionately committed
to her art (and to think, you're a great poet and
novelist, too.) Not that most people would "get it,"
of course. But at least they'd know what real art is,
take it or leave it.
So I think the ordeal of Ordeal was worth it for
you, traumatic breakup and cops and courtroom and all.
This really is a breakthrough album -- but of course
all your albums are breakthrough albums." 2. DOG LOGIC (2000) CD books, videos etc... 1.Hell Passport -- limited edition hand made chap
