"INTO THE MILLENNIUM"

Video Reviews

I live in West Virginia but was fortunate enough to get to go to the BSB concert in Lexington on November 26th. That morning my friend, my parents, and I traveled to Lexingon. On the way we entertained ourselves with a sign that I made.. It said HONK (in huge letters) if you love the Backstreet Boys. Well we were supposed to hang it up on the back of our van but since it was raining we just held it up. It was so funny we got a lot of honks!! Well we finally got to Lexington and found ways to waste time until it was 6:20, time to go!! We got all of our stuff ready and headed off. We arrived at Rupp at 6:30 and I could not believe the crowd that was already there! We bought tons of souvineers! When we walked into the arena I was amazed at how great our seats were! Finally the lights went out and the loudest scream I had ever heard (up to that point at least!) erupted through the crowd. First Mandy Moore performed then EYC. After they were done the lights came back on. We jumped from our seats.. and waited and waited. After a half an hour (8:45) the lights went off. Dark vador music started and the dancers brought out these torches. Then smoke came out of the top of the black box, and they came out on their skateboards and THEN I heard the loudest noise I had ever heard in my life! They came to all the sides the started into "Larger Than Life". Next they went right into Get Down and then "The one"! They also sang "don't wanna loose you now." Well I think it was then that all of them went under the stage except Nick! He was so adorable!! He was talking about Brian and Kevin being from there and how great we were and that we were the best audience on the whole tour (I'm sure he doesn't say that everywhere!! Lol!). He was saying that they had recorded this album called millenium and everyone started cheering and he goes "What? You've heard of millenium?" and everyone started screaming. It was adorable. I think he said some more stuff but then the others came up. I think AJ went first. He was just thanking us and stuff. Howie went next and said that orlando's his home town but he doesn't think they had it too bad growing up here. Then Brian came on. He is my absolute favorite!! He said, "I really don't know what to say. When I was a little boy, all my life, I wanted to play basketball here. My friends know, I'm OK for basketball, but singing was another love of mine. God made it possible, along with you all, to play here." He also said hi to his mom, dad, brother, Mr.Turner, and the Tates Creek Choir. They were on the opposite side near the box. Next came Kevin. His was in the paper too so…. "The fellas had a bet going, on which song I would start crying on, but I already lost it. There's so much I want to say, but I can't say it or I'll start crying like a baby…thank you for your love." It was so sweet! Later on he said hi to his family. Next they sang "As long as you love me" and "quit playing games with my heart". That's when they flew out. I had been hoping so much that Brian would be on our side, but he was on the other side, so we got AJ! I was happy anyways! He flew upside down right in front of our ! The perfect fan was near the beginning. Brian and Kevin introduced the choir and brought their mom's onto stage!! It was so adorable! Brian had his mom on the other side and we couldn't see except on the screen. At the end they walked around and brian kissed his mom! Well I loved the medley of "Backstreet's back, we've got it going on, and that's the way I like it"! The whole crowd was on it's feet and the fireworks were great! The best thing ever happened next! I am HOPING so much that someone can help me out remembering!! It was towards the middle/end. They raised up the middle thing and each of the guys was at a point. We weren't on a side, we were facing the point. When they rose them up they were EXACTLY at eye level with us! Brian was off to our left and Howie was facing us! At this point everyone around us sat down and it was calm in our section. I think it might have been "no one else comes close to you" but I wish I knew for sure! Since everyone was sitting down my friend and I kindof stood out since we refused to! But I got my glow stick and started jumping up and down hysterically and screaming. It was probably the only motion around us so it must have caught his eye. He pointed at us several times! He looked at us through the whole song and every time they said you he would point at us!! It was like he was singing to us and I loved it!! Well just when I thought things couldn't get better they did! Right after that song was over the platform started to spin around and they sang another song (possibly i'll never break your heart? anyone know?)We found ourselves face to face with brian! We grabbed our 6-foot long "WE LOVE YOU BRIAN" sign (which took us hours to make, but Brian was worth every second!) and they kept spinning. We could tell that he was trying to read it the first couple times around, but then he waved!! I mean the first time he did I thought maybe it was someone else but every time he came around we held it higher and screamed louder!! He waved and grinned every time he went around!! I was the best moment ever! Well they said they wanted to slow things down so they sang show me the meaning of being lonely and dedicated it to deniz pop. Then they said goodbye and a few people left. They came back out and brian was wearing a Kentucky sleeveless basketball jersey! Kevin was wearing a blue jersey and a Kentucky hat. They sang most of it's gotta be you and nick they stopped for the dancers to dance. Nick goes "wait up wait up..something's wrong here..there's no competition. Why don't we see the dancers battle!! If you want to see them battle go whoo whoo." And everyone does! Then nick started singing kong-fu fighting.. it was so adorable! Kevin introduces his side then it's nick's turn (we were on his side). Then AJ went then Brian. Brian picked up a basketball and was dribbling it around and throwing it way up in the air and catching it. Then howie introduced and they started walking up the platforms and finished the song. They all took bows. A lot of people saw that and stated to leave. They went away and came back for I want it that way and brian was wearing one of the heart shirts! It was so sweet! AJ had a DR.Suiss hat on! Well they let us sing the last part of it! They disappeared from the stage and I was still in shock. Well actually AJ jumped into the crowd on the other side and left in plain sight! The rest must have snuck out. Well that's about it for my concert story! The guys were absolutly amazing and I will never forget the concert for as long as I live!! KTBSBPA everyone!

Bonnie
