One day in the Spring of 1997, my 10 year old son was watching MTV and he called me in his bedroom and said, "Mom, look at this group; they are kids". I thought they were adorable and the song "Mmmbop" was really catchy and different than any other song I have heard. My son and I knew the guitarist was a boy and we weren't sure if the other two were boys or girls. We saw at the end of the video that their name was Hanson, so we figured they were siblings. After seeing the video a few more times, I became intrigued with the music group called Hanson. I then got to see them on the Rosie O'Donnell Show, which is one of my favorite TV shows, that I watch every day. I knew they were coming on after the commercial break, so I grabbed a video tape and stuck it in the VCR. They sounded great live! I soon learned when Rosie interviewed them, that they were brothers.

After seeing them on Rosie, I became a fan of theirs. I bought their CD "Middle of Nowhere" and listened to it over and over and over... My two sons and the kids that I babysat soon became fans also. They kind of had no choice. The Hanson CD was played constantly in the house. I loved their songs, because they were catchy, and had great messages (you can actually hear the words, unlike a lot of songs). Their singing voices blended together so well, they sounded like angels. This music group soon became my favorite. I could not get enough of their CD! I bought a teen magazine for a 7 year old girl that I babysat for, because she liked Zac. I really wanted to keep it for me, but I would feel funny if I did. What would people think of me? I am too old to have teen magazines.

I slowly got over the feeling that I should not be a fan of a band that consisted of kids. I began taping more Hanson TV appearances. I bought teen magazines with them in it. A friend of mine told his friend to give me a Hanson book called "Mmmbop to the Top" since I liked Hanson. He acquired the book from a woman, who is a reporter for the NY city newspaper "US Today". She interviewed Hanson and they gave her the book. She gave it to her friend because she did not even know them. Oh my God! I thought that was weird! I thought it was part of her job to keep up with new stars. He gave the book to me for my birthday. YAY! Hanson touched it! I just wish they had signed it, oh well. The book still means a lot to me. When I found out that Hanson was going to be one of the guests at the annueal Kissmas Party for KISS 108 radio station in Boston, I had to try to win tickets. I was so thrilled when I won! I sounded like a fool on the radio, because I was so excited that I won!I tried to win the daytime showing so my kids could go, but no luck. My sister went with me to see the show. Hanson was AWESOME!!!

My name is pronounced like this- "daufeen" with the accent on the first syllable, like in "daughter". Believe it or not, I am 37 years old and I love Hanson! There are many adult Hanson fans. We love their music and we are devoted fans like you are. I tape them when they are on TV. I buy books on Hanson, Hanson T shirts, CDs, posters, and magazines. I send them letters and gifts on their birthdays.

I love being a Hanson fan! When I was a teenager I was a huge Leif Garrett fan. I am still a fan of Leif's. I have a huge collection of Leif posters, pinups, articles, records, T shirts, videos of his movies, and other memorabilia. I have 3 scrapbooks that I made that are full of articles, pictures, and even just the words "Leif" and "Leif Garrett"! I spent hours and hours cutting them out and gluing them in the scrapbooks. I am quite proud of them, to be honest. Now that I am a fan of Hanson, I do not cut up my magazines like I used to. My advice to Hanson fans is to not cut up your magazines, keep them whole. You will enjoy them more. Also keep them in a plastic box with a cover so they will not turn yellow. Just hang up extra Hanson pinups and posters. It was fun being a teenager when I was Leif's fan. Now I can relive some of that by being Hanson's fan! Yes, most people think it is odd that I like Hanson. They tell me that I am a teen! Oh well, Hanson makes me happy and that is what counts, right?

I made a yoyo quilt for Zac for his birthday. It is made out of 2 shades of blue, since that is his favorite color. "Zac" is spelled out in white. It was sewn by hand and it took many hours to complete. I made Ike a green one. I just have to put a back on it, then I will sent it to him. Right now I am making Tay a red quilt. It is about 1/2 of the way done.

One of my most prized possessions I have in my Hanson collection is my portrait of Hanson done by Monica Geist. This portrait is sooooooooooooo beautiful! She is very talented. She captures the emotions of Hanson in her drawings. Check out her drawings at Masterpiece of Hanson.

I am a big music lover. Aerosmith and GUNSnROSES used to be my favorite bands. Now they tie for second place. I have to listen to music whenever I can, it is part of me. I enjoy my music collection and I pop in whatever type of music that my mood at the time desires. Rock music is my favorite. Although, I enjoy listening to pop, dance, rap and other types of music. Hanson have listened to rock music for years, so their music is definitely rock influenced. I really get into it. They are so talented and very mature for their ages. I will never get tired of listening to them. I listen to Hanson every day! Hey, thanks for reading this! It was quite long!

HANSON ROCKS!!!!
