Attendance is a university policy regulated by the Board of Trustees for State Colleges and Universities. The Louisiana Tech University Bulletin states the attendance policy,

"…class attendance is regarded as an obligation as well as a privilege, and all students are expected to attend regularly and punctually all classes in which they are enrolled. Failure to do so may jeopardize a student’s scholastic standing and may lead to suspension from the college or university."

Freshmen and sophomores may be dropped from class rolls if they have excessive unexcused absences (ten percent of the total classes). Get your money's worth: Come to class!

See course syllabus for specific class attendance policy.
