I am honored by your visit.

This site was designed and is maintained by a pupil of his, known to all as Jamaica. My real name is Jason Leckie and I study Health Sciene at the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands. In my spare time I practice Capoeira (as you have noticed) and I also enjoy dancing, particularly salsa and merengue. Click here for my personal website.
I am member of a Capoeira group active in Southern Netherlands and also in Belgium. We are under the guiding eye of our teacher: Geovane da Silva, known to most as Vulcao.

This site has gotten the status of fan-site, because a official website of Capoeirarte already exists. This website is located at http://www.geocities.com/Pipeline/Cliff/3221/ and is maintained by my fellow capoeirista, Piupiu.

On this page you will find what is on any other Capoeira page. That is, a short Bio on our teacher, mentor and educator, Geovane da Silva, known to most as Vulcao. In this Bio you will find Geovane's history, how and why he started training Capoeira and what his experiences are teaching us here in the Netherlands and Belgium.

The class-schedule speaks for itself, as this is where you go have a look where and when Geovane teaches.

Off course we will have a page describing the history of Capoeira and the different styles of Capoeira. Also we will explain the cordo system and maybe even implement a moves page.

We now also have some lyrics to a few traditional Capoeira songs. Check it out here.

Furthermore, have a look in the multimedia section. Now there are some movies and a sample of a berimbau playing the regional style.

The one thing that will make this page unique is the design page, where we will post our designs. Designs will include mostly skins for various programs, like winamp, internet explorer, icq+, yahoo messenger and more. Maybe, as my experience increases, I will also develop desktop themes. Why develop skins and desktop themes? Because there are a lot of skins and themes out there, but not one capoeira skin or theme. This is where this site comes in. I'll do our best in developign stuff for your computer/capoeira needs.

And offcourse I can't make a site without including some good and useful links.

The Multimedia section has some movies I found on the net. they are mostly outside links. pictures and stuff will follow. (I bought a scanner, stay tuned!)
