Speechless

By: Eric Steven Truitt

When I said that I was falling,
In Love with you today,
I turned my head in silence,
And you just looked away,
When I touched you face with my hand,
And I held yours to my heart,
I prayed I wouldn't have to leave,
Or that the engine wouldn't start,
All my life I've been open,
With everyone I've ever loved,
But tonight I became speechless,
And looked for guidance up above,
Then all at once I knew the answer,
To the question I'd sent above,
Take a look at her beside you,
And tell her who it is you love.
