Pieces

By: Eric Truitt

Lay your head back,
In my arms,
Rest your mind,
Let the world around you fade,
Fade into nothing,
Be here with me,
Just you alone,
Without your thoughts,
Feel our hearts beat,
Feel my hands ease your pain,
I'll hold your heart for you,
Hold together the broken pieces,
I will mend it,
Piece you back together,
Bring you peace,
I'll give you the world,
My world, my life,
I am here for you,
I will take care of you,
I will not hurt you,
But you have to set yourself free,
Open yourself to me,
Let me in,
Let him go,
Experience happiness,
I can bring you that,
But you have to let me,
I will give you the strength,
The strength to move on,
But you have to take the first step,
And let life carry you,
And let me guide you every step of the way,
Because I will pick up the pieces for you,
I will hold you together,
I will hold you,
I will not break you,
Show yourself to me,
Trust me with your heart,
I won't let it fall to pieces.
