Dear

By: Eric Steven Truitt

Your shadow dances before me,
As I am guided by your light,
I think of you all day,
And dream of you all night,
Your beauty like a miracle,
giving hope to all,
Your figure like a model’s,
Slender, perfect, tall.

Your whisper’s like a gentle breeze,
Flowing into my ear,
As I listen anxiously,
For the words I wish to hear,
Your kiss is like a teddy bear,
Soft and o’ so sweet,
We still have our ups and downs,
Like music notes on a sheet.

I trust you fully with my love,
Though I’m still concerned,
I’m not sure you love me dear,
But I’m sure my heart you’ve earned.
