Amon Krist is the x-lead singer for the band Velour 100. I believe she left about 2 years a go, maybe less. She met the founder through a friend and was asked to record an e.p with him. She and the fonder (Trey Many) recorded Rainwater e.p. before they were signed to Tooth & Nail Records. After they signed they released Fall Sounds. After that they re-released there first e.p. They titled it Song From The Rainwater E.P. Also they recorded a song titled "Parting" for ArtCore II (various). Velour 100 was basicly made up of Trey Many (guitars, drums). They also had a couple other members in the band. Live shows were usually just Trey and Amon. Velour 100 have been known for not having a bassest at their shows. Velour 100 has recorded one album and one e.p. since Amon left, and they are now not signed to T&N.
Amon left velour 100 because she wasn't sure if it was God's plain for her to sing. She also didn't know if that was what she really wanted to do. As a side project Amon record with Brain Fair. They recorded a four song e.p. (containing one instrumental song). The album contains a full band, but it was record in Brain's home. Fans of Amon's velour 100 work will enjoy the recording. The recording was titled "For Velvet Tables". All songs were written by Brain Fair. The album is only available through Brain.
Amon did a solo song, titled Priority, for a album containing various bands, which also contains one song, Good, from For Velvet Tables. The album is titled "Scenes".
As for what she's planning to do in the future. I don't know to well. I know she is now out of college and is working for the Detroit Art Instutoit.
I don't know very many interesting facts about her. I do know her mom is Jan Krist. And that Amon sang background vocals on Jan's first two albums. I also know that her family and a friends call her Amy. She lives near Detroit in Michigan, and that She's also a Christian.
