I

So... you want to know of me, eh? Well then... sit down, grab a cool drink and have a listen. Well- to begin with, I'm a 44-year old, blonde haired, blue eyed, divorced father. My love of KISS started when I was about 12. My first concert was the 1975 ALIVE! show. It was in Wildwood, NJ. A friend from school and I were driven down to the show by his Mom (who also purchased the tickets for us!). We had seats so close to Gene that when he spat blood we were COVERED and when he breathed fire we could feel the heat! Not bad for a first show. My Mom bought me my first KISS album (a mistake she is coming to realize that she must live with!). It was 'Destroyer'. So that's how it started. My collection of memorabilia is expansive. I've got posters, LP's, 8 TRACKS!, McFarlane's, belt buckles, even the same amplifiers Gene used on the ALIVE! tour! An all-original 1969 Ampeg SVT bass amplifier with 2 B25B speaker cabinets, 2 red "Firehouse" gumballs, and a candleabra to boot! I'm a bassist (couldn't tell, huh?). I also own a numbered (#00061!), HAND SIGNED "Gene Simmons AXE" bass guitar, a 1976 Gibson "Grabber" bass guitar in ebony/maple (not "Eggplant Sparkle" but still, just like the one Gene is shown playing on the cover of ALIVE!), a 1990 Gibson reissue of their 1967 "Flying V" six-string guitar in black and white (just like the one Paul played in 1975). For a complete run-down on, and pictures of SOME of my "rig" click here. I'll tell you more- later on, of that- be sure! But for now- here's a pic of my son & I in our 'Farewell Tour' T-shirts! He's kinda handsome, eh?.
