7 Second Delay started in February of 1998 with Trevor Dallas on guitar and Cody Bottoms on drums and vocals. We got our first big show at a club called “the 8th day.” After that we played at “Indienet” and “The Bellevue Station.”

So after a time that seemed endless, we put out a demo tape of 3 songs. It was recorded summer of 1998 It had the songs “2 words” “Fear is the key” and “Shotgun.”

In November of 1999 Trevor Dallas left the band.

I got Mark Himmelriech to play guitar, and Michael Owen to play bass.

We recorded a CD in early 2000 called “12 Step program.” It had 8 tracks on it. The song list is “Disarray,” “Digital Minefields,” “fight or die,” “Hurtless,” “Cold,” “Shotgun,” “Disappear,” and “Hung,” this CD is now out of print.

Our first show with the new band was at “The Next generation performance hall” in the first quarter of 2000.

In June of 2000 we got Will Rutherford to play guitar along with Mark. We played 2 shows with Will.

In late October of the year 2000 Will Rutherford left the band.

At this point we started playing real digital/emo songs like “Believe” and “Snow Angel.” We where scheduled to releasing a CD in late November 2000 but the CD was never made.

7 Second Delay broke up in December of 2000.

We where serious about our band and we where looking at this as our life. If you where willing to understand us for what we where, and could handle us blowing your mind with our tetrad of extreme sounds, give us a buzz, we would like to hear what you thought.
