THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU MUST DO BEFORE YOU START YOUR WEBPAGE. IF THIS IS NOT DONE YOU WILL ENCOUNTER PROBLEMS SUCH AS MISLABLED SLIDES, A LACK OF INFORMATION IN CERTAIN AREAS, A LACK OF PICTURES WHERE REQUIRED, WRONG INFORMATION IN DIFFERENT SLIDES. !!! !!!IMPORTANT!!! Take a piece of paper and in the margin write down the titles of the information you are going to be adding. Beside the title write down the information you are going to be adding on each page. If there are any pictures or special items which you wish to add, write it down in the margin under the title. If you wish you can draw an outline of what you want your page to look like and use it as a model. !!!WARNING!!! FRAMES AND PAGES ARE THE BUILDING BLOCKS OF YOUR PAGE. IF YOU PLANNED CAREFULLY AND CORRECTLY YOU WILL BE ABLE TO DO THIS WITHOUT PROBLEM. WITHOUT THESE YOUR PAGE WILL BE...WELL NOTHING. Before you begin: MAKE A FOLDER IN WHICH YOU CAN SAVE ALL OF YOUR WORK. ONCE YOU LOAD THE PROGRAM AND BECOME COMFORTABLE WITH THE WAY IT WORKS YOU CAN START YOUR PAGE! THIS IS THE PART YOU'VE BEEN WAITING FOR! TO ADD A PAGE Create one template file. On this you will design a format you will want to follow for all the other pages. To do this you open a new document. TO INSERT A FRAME Click on the INSERT command and located the option called FRAMES. Here you can choose a frame on which you can create all your hyperlinks and additional information. A FRAME IS ALWAYS OPEN AT THE SIDE OF YOUR WEBPAGE. TABLES WILL BE THE LIMITS IN WHICH YOU ADD YOUR TEXT. TO INSERT TABLES Click on the INSERT command and select the TABLE command. Select the number of columns and rows you will need to display all of your information. You can make different cells for your pictures, text, and forms (will explain later). You do not have to make a table. However, it helps to not add to much data and helps as a limit for you to know when you want to stop. ???QUESTION??? TO INSERT TEXT If you have inserted a table: Select a cell and write
in your information. TO INSERT PHOTOS Do not add to many pictures.
Note: Any Images that you used must first be save to a root folder. You can use the one you created for your pages. In the following steps I will be showing you how to make the links that will connect all of your pages. This is a complicated process that might sound confusing at first but becomes very easy when you get used to it. 1. In the frame bar you created, write the names of all
the pages you wish to access from that page. Another method of linking is an anchor. To use an anchor you: 1. Choose the spot you wish to connect to. NOTE: WHEN MAKING A LINK, YOU MUST SELECT A TARGET FRAME (the frame in which a link will open). Here you can make your web page suit your personality. Right-click anywhere on your page and select PAGE PROPERTIES. HERE YOU CAN SELECT DIFFERENT FONT COLORS, BACKROUND IMAGES, AND BACKROUND COLORS. PUBLISH |
