This is an ongoing projet.

Here is my original post on gstwins.

I was looking for a radar mount. Being the cheapskate that I am, I didn't want to shell over $100 for the Saeng. So I found the Slip Stream on Chaparral's catalog for ~$25 which fits my bill. (BTW, who was looking for a cheap camera mount? That looks like one)

But I kept thinking: wouldnt it be nice if, instead of using the clamp, I could screw that into the 10mm hole for the stock mirrors that it's unused since I installed the Napoleon bar end mirrors?

Then I had a great idea! Why not use the stock mirror and turn it flat?

Boy, what a genius I am! I give myself three thumbs up!

It turns out that my radar detector fits like they are made for each other. I used two rubber bands, the kind for broccoli stems at grocery stores, to keep it in place. It is rock steady, but I will still add some velcro tape to the bottom for added safety.

Ok, it looks getto, but it's effective, and costs nil. I only whish I could shorten the stalk.
