- John Roberts Mozingo, 74, of 1403 Peachtree St. died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

A native of Wayne County, he was employed 37 years with N.C. Depart- ment of Human Resources Services for the Blind. He was a charter member and past president of Golds- boro Downtown Lions and was a recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellow, a humanitarian award given by Lions International for dedicated and outstanding service to Loinism.

He was a Lifetime member of the N.C. Association of the Blind. He was instrumental in founding Camp Dog- wood a camp for visually impaired people. He was past president and a member of the N.C. Association for the Workers of the Blind.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. from Oak Heights P.F.W.B. Church with Rev.

Horace Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Wiggins Mozingo; son and daughter- in-law, Larry and Donna Mozingo of Goldsboro; sisters, Thelma Morgan of Raleigh and Daisy Jones of Wil- mington; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; special friend, Roger Morris.
