Biscuit Pudding

6 biscuits (cold)
1 cup water
1 1/4 cups sugar
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 cup raisins
2 eggs lightly beaten
1/2 cup evaporated milk

Method

Soak crumbled biscuits in hot water for a few minutes; add sugar, butter, nutmeg, raisins, beaten eggs, and milk, mixing after each addition . Pour into 1-quart greased baking dish; bake in preheated 350 degree oven for about 30 to 40 minutes, or until browned
