EUROPE TRIP 2004

These are some photos from my recent trip to europe which occured between july and september 2004. The countries i visited included japan (tokyo), spain (including ibiza), italy, the netherlands, scotland and england. I absolutely loved western europe and are looking forward to gettin back there and to visit the nordics along with germany nex time as well.

downtown tokyo

a crazy first night tokyo..an all nighter! walked approx 32kms around the city ... tokyo is a very tall city with basically every car ont he road in the city being a taxi. Is so weird theres people walking around in business suits at 1am on sunday. Such an orderly country but the air polution is shocking.. i could feel the strain on my lungs... highlights included tryin to find an atm we could actually use and somewhere to eat believe it or not. We also were striving to find the clubbing distict and got almost there before we dediced to turn back so we wouldnt miss the last train or i wouldnt of got to the airport and on to europe. Walked into a few gentlemens clubs on the way and recieved a few differing receptions which was pretty funny. And that ferrai 360 whizzing past me on the motorway at over 200kmh ..a jaw droping wow ..u could hear it still afew kms away

Italy

This is me in a pizza bar in rome... they charge you by how much the pizza weighs which is a better way of doing things and is a lot cheaper. The italian leg of the trip started in turin home of the 2006 winter olympics, it was a beautiful city but we only stayed a day then we were of to roma. To get there we caught a train through the mountains and the tuscany coast ...it was absolutely briliant scenery to around pisa. 3 days were spent in rome. The torist sites visied included st peters basillica, trevi fountain, spanish steps, colesseum etc and a tonne of other monuments. The city had a lot of charm and while we wee there it was stinking hot. We stayed at camping tiber a bit out the city full of english, americans and germans. We met an english and german guy there who we got pissed with and ran a muck with both at the campsite and int he testaccio nightclub district(met some girls from poland there)and talked to a transsexual. Highlights included singing songs ina big group (there we 2 guitarists supporting), defying all odds to finish of the extra cheesy and salty carbonara at the campsite, seeing thorpey win gold in the 200 gettin aussie chants going with other aussies there and the solid drinking.

The grand canal venice

venice absolutely stunning nothing more said ..beatiful string quartets in the squares, buskers in the streets playing harps, gondolas cruisin the streets and everything and everyone moving at a snails pace...every minute feeels like 10 minutes... i highly recommend anyone who is deciding whether or not to go here... dont think about it anymore just do it.Just dont pay for luggage on the waterbuses
