Lexx 2.13 Twilight

On a distant planet, in a lonely castle a henpecked husband, his harridan wife and their bratty daughter are under nightly siege. Meanwhile, on the Lexx Stan has been asleep for over 9 hours and Xev is worried.

790 determines multiple disorders in Stanley's body, but doesn't know what is causing it. The crew decide to seek specialised help, before Stan dies and with him control of the Lexx.

Xev's plea for medical help is picked up by the quarreling family, who pretend to be medically trained to get the Lexx to visit.

The planet is Ruma, known to Kai because of the Divine's Shadow's memories he possesses and they head straight there. Kai explains that Ruma was the dumping ground for worn out Divine Shadow bodies. The unusual core of the planet keeps the bodies semi-alive.

Shortly after arriving Kai begins to behave very strangely, and the daughter Lomea takes a shine to Xev. Kai jumps out of the window and starts picking flowers.

While the family try to strike a deal to leave the planet, the 792 robot examines Stan and determines he has a selenium deficiency. He suggests that the father's shampoo contains sufficient selenium to save Stan.

Stan's recovery will take time so they go outside for a picnic and begin talking about the ways of the Divine order. The daughter is thrilled to hear Xev is a love slave.

The mother and daughter go to check on Stan leaving the father with Xev. Suddenly he declares he just saw Kai fall off the cliff. It turns out to be a ruse to trap Xev outside, so they can steal the Lexx...

..and not knowing his importance throw Stanley over the wall to the ground below.

Xev tries to explain, but they're having none of it and pause only to gloat about the fact that the Divine predecessors will be along soon to get her.

By now Stan is more awake, which is a good job as he needs to run, as sure enough, zombie predecessors are roaming around. This would be a good time for Kai to save the day, but he's off on a clifftop, spouting poetry.

Back on the Lexx, Lyekka emerges from her pod. With nothing to eat on the Lexx, she heads on down to the planet.

Down on Ruma, Stan and Xev are overwhelmed as the zombies break into the castle grounds and proceed to eat the moth. The family find 792 sans body, which he claims was eaten by Lyekka. They are forced to retreat back inside.

Stan and Xev find the moth is gone and when they try to contact the Lexx realise Kai has the communicator. They find him, but he throws it off the cliff. The only transmitter left is back in the tower, so they head back.

In the tower, Lomea's dreams seem to be coming true as Lyekka finds her and announces she wants to eat her. She's got the wrong end of the stick of course and the twilight is soon cut by a chilling scream.

Stan and Xev make it to the tower, but Xev's acting a bit weird after being bitten by one of the zombies.With the zombies getting ever closer, they get the transmitter working and Stan tells the Lexx to come and pick them up. Unfortunately, the island is too small for him to land.

As they release the stairway to the roof, the zombies arrive, including Xev, who's become zombified herself and takes a fancy to the father.

The treacherous mother closes off the stairway leaving Stan and her husband trapped with the zombies. Up on the roof she runs into Lyekka, who gets her just desserts!

The mother eaten, Lyekka reopens the stairway and Stan scrambles to safety

Lyekka's moth is up on the roof and they find Kai on board, obviously fed up with throwing Divine Shadows off the cliff. Then Xev appears.

Back on the Lexx and away from the strange radiation of the planet, Kai is back to normal. Unfortunately, Xev isn't. Kai sucks out the pus and gunk and she returns to a more placid state of mind.

With everything hunk-dory again, Stan decides he's going to blow up Ruma...

Mantrid has other plans and they watch as his drones demolish the planet in front of them in seconds, and fly off.

As Kai succinctly puts it,"I believe...that the game is continuing..."
