First Strike
Sort of Police Story 4, First Strike sees Jackie's Supercop character(now called Jackie -- in the dubbed version at least) called in to assist the CIA in a minor surveillance operation. Things don't go quite to plan (as usual) and he winds up involved in a complicated transcontinental CIA/KGB nuclear weapons sale, and is attacked from all sides. The plot is hard to follow as it doesn't slow down for a second, and Jackie flits from country to country never knowing what's going to happen next.
There was clearly some money thrown at this film as the stunts and exotic location filming are more on the scale of a James Bond film, than a typical Jackie Chan film. There are some dramatic set pieces and, although there's only one big fight scene, it's breathtakingly complex and frantically paced. While having the air of a Hollywood film, it has all the charm and action of Jackie's best films and is definitely recommended.
