Why is Mozart the best?

My 10 Reasons why he is so awesome...
1. Well, as far as I know no composer except him composed since the age of 5.
2. Few composers wrote for such a wide variety of works - he composed and specialized in concertos, operas, symphonies, masses, serenades, sonatas, chamber music and so much more! He had a wide spectrum of instruments, writing even for Flute and Harp, Clarinet, Bassoon, Horn and Oboe!
3. Mozart also wrote at a tremendous speed! He wrote 626 compositions in only 35 years of his lifetime!
4. I don't think many of them could listen (at an early age, may I add!) to an hour and a half of music that they've NEVER heard before and then write out the entire score after that!!!! WOW!
5. Mozart could dictate his music on to paper! He could draft an original piece of work, without altering it. Plus he could improvise and sight-read so WELL!
6. And maybe most important of all: who could write melodies of such delight that can keep anyone listening to it for hours? Well - I know not everyone in the music world likes Mozart, but hey - when I get to the CD shop which ones are out first? MOZART of course!!! Mozart's music tells a story - it has feeling in it. It's not just meaningless fingering exercises or chords to make it sound a bit better! No, everything flows into each other. It's just like Salieri said, "Displace one note, and there would be diminishment; displace one phrase and the structure would fall." This is so true.
7. One often realizes even more how incredible his music is written when one actually plays his music. It is not only technically challenging, but at the same time one must play so precise and articulate clearly. The melody must come out clearly and beautifully. The music must "speak" to the people listening - and of course the performer has to enjoy what he is playing. That applies to me, I don't know about other performers but if I don't like what I'm playing I can't play as beautifully as I should. Well, I LOVE all Mozart's compositions and therefore I usually play them better and with more enthusiasm than for instance modern composers! :-)
8. To really play Mozart well is not an easy task. Therefore, his music is something that I am sure no other composer could match completely. It is not flashy and "heavy". It is delicate; so simple but yet so complex!
9. He always created something entirely new and didn't repeat his melodies over and over again.
10. His style is completely unique - when listening to it, you'll definitely know it's Mozart. The two composers I think come quite close to Mozart will be Haydn and Beethoven in his early years. However, they are not quite the same as Mozart! Their music differs widely in style. From Mozart, you can always expect that beautiful trill at the end of passages! And of course, if you don't like practicing your scales and arpeggios, then it's easy to have fun with them: PLAY MOZART! His music is full of those. The remarkable thing is the way he BALANCES everything. The orchestra, the solo instrument; the instrument in the limelight and the accompaniment; the way he uses arpeggios, scales, leaps, chromatic intervals, major and minor mode all form a perfect harmony. There is no confusion because it's perfect.

The other composers are not bad at all- I love their music very much too, but to me Mozart is the greatest.
