Spring 1998

The spring of 1998 was a crazy time. I arrived in Florida on January 20th. As I recall, it was a beautiful day. Much warmer than Michigan where I was coming from. The first really memorable event of the college program to me was the Super Bowl. I would comment on the specifics, but I would have been REALLY scared to see what Adam had done if Green Bay had won. I had my Discovery Day on a very rainy afternoon. Not much fun in my suit, but that's ok, because I met a very cool girl named Christina! As luck would have it, she was going to be working at the same place I was. She was definitely a great friend, and I am glad I met her....The Centorium! Little did I know that every one of the people I would be working with would be great too. Andie, Sherine, Lindsey, and Steph all made my time at the Centorium great! That's not even to mention all of the people who weren't on the College Program. I'm not going name names, because I'm sure I'd leave someone out, and then be shunned for life. The girls of apartment #1007 across the hall do need to be mentioned. Sarah, Tanya, Emily, Maura, Lluvia, and Mary were a big part of my Spring College Program. Other key moments for the Spring of '98 were the bad tornadoes in February. With March came our cast preview for Disney's Animal Kingdom! In March, Animal Kingdom opened to the public, and we got to go the Grand Opening Celebrations. Woo Hoo! Alas, with May came time to say goodbye to everyone. Even one of my roommates had to leave. For a week, we wondered what the "new" people would be like. That, however is another story.
