It took just a week for the earth to be made
God created the earth and the sky
But the earth was so dark that you just couldn't see
So He sent down some light from on high
So God looked, and behold, He saw it was good
While dividing the dark from the light
The time when it's light, I think I'll call day
And the darkness, I think I'll call night
The earth and the sky were a potpourri mix
Of atmosphere, water, and land
So on day number two, God had plenty to do
Removing the air from the sand
But the earth was a mess, of water and mud
All swirling and churning around
So God moved each part, to where it belonged
Forming rivers, and oceans, and ground
Then God made the sun, and God made the moon
To light up the newly made earth
The sun for the day, and the moon for the night
Both shining for all they were worth
And the planets and stars, through the whole universe
Designated each one to it's place
So on day number four, God said it was good
And a smile appeared on His face
Then God made the whales, and dolphins, and fish
The waters seemed almost alive
He also made birds, to fly through the air
Thus putting in day number five
Then God made man, in the image of God
He created a man and a wife
The man from the dust, and his wife from a rib
And He breathed into both of them life
Six days it took, to make heaven and earth
God surely had done His best
He saw what He'd made was all very good
So day seven was His day of rest
