The Metropolitan Bile Church's teaching is grounded on the Word of God. The following points provide an overview of the key elements of that teaching. Associated references are intended to provide introductory documentation.

1. The Word of God is absolutely accurate. Its inspiration is both verbal and plenary in the original languages. It is the Christian's guide in all matter of life. 2 Peter 1:20, 21, Hebrews 4:12, 2 Timothy 3:16.17

2. The One True God is manifest in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each Person of the Godhead is equal in essence: sovereignty, righteousness, justice, eternal life, love omnipresence, omniscience, omnipotence, immutability, and veracity. Matt.28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14

3. Satan is a person and the author of sin. He is the open and declared enemy of God and man. He shall be eternally punished in the Lake of fire. Job 1: 6,7; Isaiah 14: 12-17; Matthew 4: 2-11, 25:41; Revelation 20:10

4. Mankind is totally depraved as a result of the fall of Adam. The sin nature is present in every human being. Genesis chapter 3; Romans 5:12-19

6. Jesus Christ died a substitutionary death on the cross. He arose bodily from the dead. He is presently seated in heaven as our advocate, defense attorney, and high priest. Romans 5:6-8; 1 Corinthians 15:1-10; 1 John2:1,2

7. The blood of Jesus Christ ( His spiritual death on the cross) is efficacious for the salvation of all mankind. Hebrews 9:22

8. Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in the Lord Jesus Christ alone. Ephesians 2:8,9: Titus 3:5

9. The believer in the Lord Jesus Christ is completely justified (made righteous) by Christ's work on the cross. The believer is assured of his salvation and eternal security by the immutability of the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Acts 13:29; John 10:28-30; Ephesians 1:13

10. Upon death , the believer enters immediately into the presence of Jesus Christ. Upon death, the unbeliever enters immediately into hell. 2 Corinthians 5:8; Luke 16:19-31

11. The Church is a spiritual organism composed only of believers of this present age (dispensation). The Church is described as the body and espoused bride of the Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 1:22,23; 5:26,27; 1 Corinthians 12: 12-14; 2 Corinthians chapter 11

12. Local churches are established by the Holy Spirit as centers for the teaching and learning of the Word of God. Acts 14:27; 20:28-32; 23:17; 1 Timothy 3:1-13; Titus 1:5-11

13. The ordinance of the Lord's supper (Communion) is observed by the Church to remember the Lord Jesus Christ in His absence. 1 Corinthians 11:24-30

14. The rapture of the Church will occur at the end of this present age, seven years before the second advent of Jesus Christ. At the Rapture, all Church-age believers will be resurrected and taken away to meet the Lord in the air. 2 Thessalonians 4:13-18
