Out of Your Shell, pt. 5 Part Five
There was a tension in the car so thick you could cut it with a knife.  Julia just sat staring off into space, not even noticing that she was being watched.  The seating arrangements were Jeanna by the right side window, on her left was John (coincidence...I think not!) on his left was George. There was a seat across from them facing them that seated Julia across from George, then Paul, and Ringo.

Jeanna so badly wanted to break the silence, but no words would come out. She couldn't think of anything to talk about.  John sat there thinking about her the whole time.

'I wonder if someone would notice if I just looked at her,' John thought. Better not take a chance,' he told himself.

Finally, the one person who you wouldn't have expected to speak out of nowhere.

"So, do you girls like to swim?" Ringo asked them.

"Oh, yes I love swimming," Jeanna told him.

Julia just sat there staring out the window.

"Hello....earth to Julia." Paul said while waving a hand in front of her face.

"Oh.....what.....I'm sorry what did you say? " she asked, broken from her daydreaming.

"I asked if you like swimming." Ringo said to her.

"Oh, yes I like swimming.  I haven't been in about 2 years, " she said.

Suddenly John started thinking....brewing an idea in his head....he suddenly really had a need to go swimming.

"Well then....how would you two like to go swimming then? " John asked them.

"That's fine with me. " Jeanna told him.

" What about you, Julia? " George asked her.

" Yeah.....sure.....I guess," she said.

"Did you girls bring your suits? " Paul asked them.

"Yeah we brought 'em," Jeanna replied.

"Good then.  We'll have a cook out on the grill.  Plus we could put use to the outside bar!! " he said with a wicked grin.

"I don't know if I'll be having any!" Julia said with mock seriousness.

"I could definitely use a drink.  Actually, I could really use a beer." Jeanna said to everyone's surprise.

"You drink beer then? " John asked.

" Yeah....one of my preferred drinks," she told him.

"I've never met a girl who liked beer!" he said, smiling.

"Well...is that good or bad? " she asked worried.

"That's good!" they all shouted.

"Now we don't have to worry about all them girly drinks!" Paul said with a smirk.

They all shared a laugh about that.

'She's so different from the other girls I've met,' John thought.

There was once again a silence in the car that seemed so loud that it was deafening.

Jeanna continued to gaze out the window watching as they drove by the large houses. They pulled into a driveway with a large gate, stopped while the driver put the password in. When the gate opened they rode up the drive and stopped at their destination.

"This is the most beautiful house I've ever seen in my whole life," Jeanna said with an amazed look on her face.

The house was large made of  cobblestone and brick.  There were two tall pillars on each side of the doorway. The door was made of light blue wood with a large oval picture window covering near half.

They all filed out of the car and just stood there.

"Well...who wants to give us the tour? " Jeanna asked them.

"I'll grab the suitcases and take them to your room while Paul shows you around," John said.

"I'm gonna shower and change into me trunks." Ringo shouted behind him on his way into the house.

"I'm right behind you, Ring." George told him.

Paul took the girls first to the pool.  It was very luxurious.  It was well lit and heated as well.  There was a huge wooden deck with white and light blue patio furniture.  Next to the furniture was a big smoker grill.

"Just out of curiosity, but um, who's gonna cook the food?" Julia asked.

"John'll take care of that, he makes groovy hamburger patties." Paul said.

"Wow, John cooks, I would've never thought." Jeanna replied.

"Everyone says that." Paul told her.

"Well, I suppose I'll show you to your rooms, you can change your clothes up there." said Paul.

"Lead the way, sir." she said.

They walked up the grand staircase down the hall and were surprised to find that they each had thier own room.  Luckily across the hall from one another. Jeanna's room happened to be coincidentally right next to John's.

'Hmmm....today must be my lucky day,' she thought.

"Julia, I'm just gonna take a quick shower and I'll come to your room, alright?" Jeanna said.

"Alright, if I'm still in the shower just come in the bathroom," Julia told her.

"Alright...see ya' in a few." Jeanna told her.

Jeanna walked into her room and opened her suitcase.  She took out the Jasmine candle she had brought, lit it and put it in the nightstand.
The room was just beautiful.  The curtains were a blue and purple fade, and the bed was the same.  The walls were done in the same color scheme.  She grabbed her clothes and walked into the bathroom.  Turned the shower to hot, undressed and jumped.

"This is just what I need," she said to herself.

She stood there for what felt like an hour.  She jumped out of the shower, wrapped a towel around herself and walked into the room not noticing the figure on her bed.  She went over to the dresser and grabbed her bathing suit and started to walk in the bathroom, when she heard someone behind her.  She turned around to see John sitting on her bed staring at her.

"AAAHHHH!" she screamed.

"Ha, I just came in to see if you would like me to escort you to the pool. Everyone else is already down there," he said with a devious smile on his face.

"OK, um, let me get dressed and I'll be right out," she told him while trying to cover herself.

She was lucky she didn't drop the towel.

She walked in the bathroom, and slipped into her 2 piece bathing suit, which was white with yellow daisies on it. Combed her hair out and walked out into the bedroom.

"Are we ready, my lady? " John asked bowing in front of her.

"Yes, we are," she said giggling.

John looped his arm in hers, and they took off for the pool.

When they got to the pool, everyone was swimming except for Ringo who was at the bar making drinks.

All of the sudden in one swoop, Jeanna was off the ground and being raced towards the pool at an unstoppable speed. She looked up at the perpatraitor to see John of course.

"John, WHAT are you doing? " she asked in a panicky voice.

"We're going to cool you off, luv," he said in a sing-song voice.

Then he tossed her in the deep end with a big splash.

She came up above water to take a breath and noticed everyone laughing.

"You guys are all assholes!" she said laughing.

"Oh, such language from such a lady," Paul said.

"Oh, come off it, Paul," she told him.

After a couple of games of pool volleyball, John called and said the food was ready, so they all went and ate. Jeanna had already drunk more than she should have. While sitting and eating, she got and idea. She reached in her glass and picked the biggest piece of ice she could find, quietly reached over, and slid it down John's shirt.

"WHAT THE BLOODY HELL!!!...." John yelped.

He jumped up so quick that the ice cube fell right out. He looked around at everyone and saw Jeanna with a 'WHO ME' look on her face.

"You're a sly one, aren't ye?" he said to her.

"I guess you could say that," she said.

"Yeah, well, paybacks are hell." he told her, laughing.

"That was the payback, dummy!"

"Oh, you're right, I guess that means this is war!" With that he grabbed her out of her chair and started towards the pool once again.

"JOHN! Don't throw me in, I'll get a cramp!" she said urgently.

"Oh, you're right," he told her. "I'll get you next time, my pretty! " he said in mock evil.

That got a giggle out of her and everyone else, except Paul.  He knew that no one was a couple here, they were all just friends, he kept telling himself that, but it wasn't helping.

He was still being jealous and kept telling himself to stop, but he couldn't.

"I think I'm going to be sick," Jeanna said, turning green.

No faster than you can say whooo then she took off for the bathroom.

She was gone for about maybe 5 minutes.

"Maybe someone should go check on her." Ringo said.

"I'll go!" John and Paul said in unison. They just sat there looking at each other.

"I'll go," Julia told them with a little agitation in her voice.

When she got upstairs to Jeanna's bathroom, the door was closed, so she knocked.

"GO AWAY!" Jeanna yelled through the door.  She couldn't let ANY of the BEATLES see her like this.

"It's me, Julia," she called through the door.

  The door clicked open.

She found Jeanna sitting Indian style in front of the toilet. Jeanna looked up, a little disappointed.

"Don't worry, I'm here because I didn't want John and Paul to have to fight over who was gonna come up here," Julia told her.

"Oh please, them fight over me, ha!  John doesn't even like me, and I'm not even sure about Paul.  At least you have George." Jeanna said.

"Yeah, and George has a girlfriend." Julia said.

"Well, you know what, I'm not gonna worry about dating anymore. Let's just have a good time and forget about it.  They're going back to England soon, and they'll be gone forever.  Let's just have a good time now," Jeanna said, frustrated.

Soon after she had said that Paul appeared in the doorway.

"Everything all right in here?" he asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine," Jeanna said.

"Well, pool party's over, we're all going to the game room to play billiards if you're up to it," he told the girls.

"I think I'm just gonna lay down for a while," Jeanna said.

"All right, I'm gonna go down, come down when you feel better, OK?" Julia said.

"Sure thing."

Julia and Paul left Jeanna to herself.  She got up and walked over to the bed and sat down.  She started thinking about how good it felt when she was in John's arms, but then she started thinking about the fact that Paul was the one that came to see if she was ok.

"I'm not gonna worry myself with this," she said.

So she laid down, and looked at the clock that read 3:32.  She soon started to doze off, and soon after that, was asleep.

All of the sudden she felt someone sit down on the bed and was awoken by it.

She heard loud music in the house, and then remembered where she was.  She had no idea who was on her bed because it was now dark in the room, she looked over at the clock and it read 7:09.  She had slept for almost 4 hours.

"Who's there?" she asked.

The figure reached over and clicked the lamp on.  It was John.

"I just came to see if you were all right," he told her while handing her a glass of orange juice.

"I brought you this to settle your stomach."

"Where is everyone?" she asked.

"They're downstairs working on some songs," he said.

"How long have you been there? "

"A few minutes," he lied; he had been there for at least 15 listening to her sleep.

"I suppose I should get ready and join the party," she said.

"All right then, I'll go back down. Do you need anything else? " he asked while putting his hand on hers.

"Um, no I'm fine. Thanks anyway," she told him feeling her face turn red.
He smiled, got up, and left the room.

"OH MY GOD!!" she squealed.

She couldn't believe what was happening. The Beatles were her friends, they even cared about her.  She was sleeping in the same house as them.  She kept telling herself not to freak out, but it was so hard not to. She finally got up off the bed and started to pick out clothes.  She decided on some plack pedal pushers and a light blue cardigan with black Mary Jane flats.

When she got downstairs John was singing a song she recognized right away. It was ' It's Only Love ' off of the Help album. When she walked in the room she felt very faint.  She and Julia were getting a private concert.

The only seat in the whole room that no one was taking was right next to Paul, so she sat down and absent-mindedly looked at John. After the song was finished, Paul was trying to get her attention.

"Hey, why don't you sing a song?" he asked her.

"Oh, no, no way, I can't," she said, panicky.

"Oh, come on, you sound great, I've heard you remember!" he said.

"Fine, what song? " she asked.

"Well...."

"How about Johnny Angel!" Julia suggested.
" You sing that very well!" Julia said.

She knew what Julia was doing, Jeanna always sang that song to her pictures of John.  She couldn't object now. They had already started playing, and George handed her the microphone.

"Johnny Angel, how I love him
And I pray that someday he'll love me..."

When the song was finished John was smiling bigger than ever, but stopped abruptly so no one would notice.

"That was beautiful," John told her sincerely.

"You really have a talent there, Jeanna," Paul said.

"I've always told her that, but she just doesn't listen," Julia said.

"Thanks guys," she said.

"OK, were gonna play a song we just started working on the past couple days," John said.

They started playing a slow, bluesy kinda song.

"Is there anybody going to listen to my story
All about the girl who came to stay
She's the kind of girl you want so much it makes you sorry
Still you don't regret a single day
Aahhh girl (shleewww)
Girl, girl...."

"That's all I have so far," John said.

"It was beautiful, I love it," Jeanna said.

"Yeah, that was a great song," Julia said.

"I wanna hear it when your finished with it, OK?" Jeanna said.

"Yeah, sure, you'll be the first," John told her.

"Well, I think I'm gonna get myself a drink, would anyone else like anything?" Jeanna asked.

" You sure that's a good idea Chuck? " Ringo asked her.

"I'll be alright...don't you worry about me." she replied.

"All right then, could you get me a beer? " Ringo asked.

"Me too me too!!" John said in a childlike voice while raising his hand.

"I'll help you," Paul said while following her.

So Jeanna and Paul went into the kitchen area.  Jeanna didn't like the look on Paul's face.

He walked up behind her and put his hand on her shoulder, which scared her.

"Jeanna, I need to talk to you," he said in a serious tone.
