In this section we will give you some helpful cake decorating hints.

- Making Black Icing:

You will need black paste colouring & we have found adding black paste to pre-mixed deep chocolate icing it will go very black quickly and use less paste and taste better. If you add black to white icing it will go grey and if you add too much black paste to icing it will not be edible.


- Smooth Icing:

To help you smooth ice put your spatulas in very hot water, shake excess water off spatula and smooth ice cake.


- Crumbs in your icing:

To avoid having crumbs while your smooth icing your cake, you can freeze your cake first, this will make it very easy and no crumbs will be picked up.
